Take it out on their Yelp page. That will get their attention. |
| Like with Dixie Liquor, I assume this place is Mafia. When establishments blow off the community by taking over the public land for tables or delivery trucks, it tells me the local authorities want no part of clipping the establishments’ wings. |
| Didn't read the thread but I just drove by today and don't see the issue. They are taking up maybe 3 spaces in a parking lane. Restaurants need help to survive. Those of you complaining for dead streets, boring neighborhoods, lack of amenities like restaurants are the same ones trying to shut a restaurant down. |
the community is happy with the establishment and supports it. And they aren't taking over public land without permission. |
| I love that restaurant! Stop messing with one of the few walkable places that is actually good. Go complain somewhere else! |
You are not a good neighbor. |
Public streets are very expensive. They shouldn't be converted into private use, and frankly, I don't think parking should be allowed either. Streets are for driving. |
Did you drive by during a.m. rush hour, when -- on a good day -- traffic backs up past Military because of this shanty? |
Take the metro if it is that much of an issue for you. |
Yes it was AM rush hour when I went by one way and PM rush when I went back. There were already delivery vans and cars parked in that lane. It's not a through lane so the backed up cars would have been there anyway. But fwiw I didn't see any back up cars either. |
I'm going to guess the Metro is not an option for the people who commute via Connecticut Avenue in the morning. I know that it's hard for the limited-intellect "just take Metro" crowd to comprehend, but a whole lot of people in the area simply cannot use it to commute. |
They can, they just don't want to. There are options other than driving. I know that is hard for the limited-intellect "I must drive" crowd to comprehend, but there are a whole lot of people in the area who are too stubborn and know no other way to conduct themselves. |
Nope, untrue. Metro doesn't go everywhere. Try to think outside your close-minded bubble. You'll be a better person for it. |
Name an area and i can tell you how they can use the metro instead of driving. |
Cool. Now do the same for bicyclists. Seems insane to spend billions of dollars on bike lanes that are used by approximately 14 people. They can ride the Metro. |
