Have you heard of active recovery? |
| Happy August 9, y'all! Hope sports practice is off to a good start. At least it is not 95 degrees. |
Uber is not allowed to accept any minors in their vehicles unless they are with someone over the age of 18. You know this. Uber knows this. |
They do that at practice, the additional mileage is not needed. The coaches are competent, but thanks for your concern. |
I find it fascinating how some people have a rigid idea of how the world works. When we were younger our friends bought cigarettes and beer. It wasn't allowed either. |
Been like this for a long time, should have checked in earlier this summer. If it wasn't on the website, call/email the school and AD would have got the information to you. Complaining about it should help though. Looks like the coach dodged a bullet not having to deal with you. |
Well neither of those get you trafficked so kinda think that is why the rule is in place. Get real lady. |
I just let my kid take his ebike to practice |
Point that went over your smooth brain is that just saying something isn't allowed doesn't mean it doesn't happen often |
|
My kid is already out. Said it isn’t worth it. Her club team is better. She wants the rest of her summer back. The coach has no idea how to coach and just bullies them. Team sucks.
It’s a shame. I remember when HS sports were something to be proud of. |
Finally, giving up, the fox turned up his nose and said, "They're probably sour anyway," and proceeded to walk away. |
| I see threads in the travel section where posters are adamant that you should ever take your kids anywhere until your youngest DC is old enough to remember everything, and I want to direct them to threads like this! If your kid is into HS sports and/or summer swim, it isn’t long before the summer is no longer yours. Take the vacations while you can!! |
Exactly lol |
A main difference in that scenario is that it is doubtful your parents condoned that. These parents are choosing to break a company rule in place to ensure safety for their own convenience. |
We did not have any negative impression of school sports when we made the decision, but also opted out of fall sports because of the shortened summer. |
