Do you plan to stay at a resort full time? Because you can't buy a place to live in. |
| Everyone is moving to the US and Europe. |
Have you actually spent time in Cuba, outside of the resorts? Travelled around the country? Stayed for more than a week or two? I love the country. I've visited a dozen times, sometimes for a few months. (I'm not American). You're spectacularly ignorant just for thinking you can retire there. You can't. There is absolutely no mechanism to do so. If you're serious, you should divorce your "H" and marry a Cuban, but you might have a hard time convincing him to live there. |
Thanks. The entitlement on this thread is ridiculous. |
Until the day “you” is confronted by a “them.” |
Is this a joke? The QOL in Cuba is so incredibly low. There are massive shortages of goods. Things you take for granted like Tylenol are unavailable. You’d need to have US friends and family send you care packages with basic goods including food. You’d need to sew and mend a lot of your clothing. I’m not sure legally how it would work renting or owning property but I can’t imagine it’s a place where property rights are respected. The difference in QOL of someone living middle class in Florida and middle class in Cuba is incredible. You’d be much better off moving to Florida. |
That's ok. Let them find out for themselves. These people are in a dream state. They will not wake up until a real good slap in the face is administered by reality. |
| Agree with others. If the US and EU collapse, the world has collapsed. It won’t matter where you are. |
You’re super cute in thinking your money has value in a world in which the US and EU have imploded. |
| We’ve talked about retiring in Montevideo, Uruguay. It’s gorgeous. |
Why are Democrats too disillusioned to see the obvious? |
You will lose your husband instantly when he touches down in Uruguay and sees the women |
