Are they staying in the secret basements?

While PVI graduated a solid squared this spring, they had a very strong JV team this year and do have a few key pieces back.

They will run toe to toe with Gonzaga next spring.

Have to agree. St. John’s looks strong and 4 and 1 didn’t play. FO could be an issue.

And their best D man didn’t play

I guess we had an opportunity to see what Prep looks like without the transfers.

4 is Dunkel - right?

Who is 1 for SJC?

Midfielder committed to Maryland.

A comment above says that no rising seniors from STA played last week? That must be incorrect.

Yes it’s incorrect.

SJC will most likely dominate area competition yet again next Spring.

Sadly, I don't see anyone from the IAC willing to play them.

Maybe McDonogh or Saint Marys or from the MIAA will reach out, but doubt it.

With they what they have returning on offense I like GZ to challenge for the WCAC title in 24.

Is this the same Gonzaga team that put up 2 goals in the WCAC semi finals against PVI and 5 goals against Western Reserve a week later.

Eagles sound like an offensive powerhouse

The same team the scored 12 in wins over Bullis and Landon 10 on SJC and the WR game was a showcase. They will be back next year to challenge for the WCAC

The problem with Gonzaga is they don't really improve as the season goes on.

Eagles have historically come out of the gates full steam ahead in March but something happens once the warm weather comes out.

The past 2 seasons have shown this since under the new Head Coach.

Agree. Every year it’s excuses from the eagle faithful.

The Overzealous Prep Booster.
Look at Prep with the rose tinted glasses off before you criticize Landon's Culture.

Watch Prep students in the stands. Maybe try to clean up the bottles left in the stands by the Prep Boys; you will smell a lot of alcohol. Oh Yeah, look at the stands where the Landon kids were. Which place is more of a mess?

Go ahead, rag on the Landon Lush parents. Too bad the Landon parents can't just be sober for games, but I would rather the Landon parents be drunk than the Prep kids; alas, they both are.

Think about how often in the past couple of years Prep kids have assaulted kids from other schools with impunity. Think about how big Prep has gotten lately and how many of the boys who can't play a sport are becoming drug and alcohol cowboys because they can't make a team and there is no administrative supervision of the boys. Ask a Prep kid about Cheating and AI, if they are honest, you won't like the answer. Then talk about Culture.

Then you can bluster about Landon this and Landon that, but you have to reach back more than a decade for that stuff, and by the way, some of Landon's most infamous cut their teeth at Mater Dei.

And then think about the fact that the boys that attend both schools are really about the same, at the height of privilege in the DMV, and therefore the world. Who is managing that privilege better. Think about the banner at Prep that said "Welcome to da Junkyard," and Ponder that Irony.

On to Lacrosse. Bullis implodes. Prep falls off but still vies for the Championship. Landon Improves. St. Albans drops off. St. Stephens improves. Episcopal - depends on the transfer portal. They had a great team this year with some excellent offensive players. When was the last time they had players going to Duke and UVA to play lacrosse instead of football? If they can get ahold of some more ACC bound players, they will keep getting better. They got really good in football with coach Vulgaris, maybe the lacrosse coach can take a page out of his book and get the Lacrosse Team Rolling.
