Al Pacino to be a father at 82

I'm generally tolerant of May-December couples, but for her to be linked to Mick Jagger when he was 74 and she was 22 is just....gross.

They’re also not together anymore. I wonder if she is actually as wealthy as people say because the whole situation is weird. To have a baby with someone who does not seem excited at all and who is super old. Even having a child with someone after less than a year of dating is weird. That said at his old age Al should understand where babies come from.

If he absolutely didn’t want more kids he should’ve used a condom or gotten snipped.

I completely agree. I do wonder if he thought he couldn’t have kids since his kids with Beverly D’Angelo were conceived via ivf.

All these “they have money” and “As long as someone loves them they’ll be fine stuff” is really sad and not at all in line with how children and humans actually experience the world.

We get it, you think single parents are inferior.

Its just not optimal. Generally parents try to create optimal circumstances for their children. Parents matter to children. They aren't puppies.

One rich parent who loves their child & specifically wanted to have one is better than two poor parents who had an oops baby.

man your standards for life are low, like seriously low. Only poor people think being rich makes things all better. You have no idea whether this woman is a loving mother, you're just like, oh they can easily do travel soccer and pay for college. Parenting is about a lot more than that. A LOT. THere are a lot of poor people who as parents put the rich to shame.

Someone accused this forum of “ageism”

Maybe accuse us of “deathism” where we disparage fathers who are dead because they had babies when they were in their 80s. That’s the biggest issue here

Well said! It is amazing how narrow DCUMland's views on money can be.

If the dude is older than your parents, you need to reassess. Seriously reassess.

Many of them broke? Just wondering.

Poor child. There is no way this woman is mentally healthy or capable of putting her child’s needs first. I lost my father in elementary. It was hard enough without knowing that it was an experience my parents essentially chose for me

Plenty of parents also love their oops baby.

And is this one rich parent who loves their child? Or some girl with some sort of weird geriatric fetish and an old fool that didn’t want any more kids?

Poor Al has been dumped just three months after the oops baby arrived.

Bonus - she gets his cash and doesn’t have to deal with his increasing infirmity.

The downside of being an alpha male. You don't know your limits.
