Well she must be popular, because her constituents re-elected her.

Voters in Ward 1 are the worst and I live in Ward 1. Kent Boese ran against her and he would have been amazing. A real centrist but DC voters love extremist and we end up looking like a third world country.

Most of the crap on 14th is stolen shit from CVS (why do you think so much is locked up CVS), some horrible "artwork" , belts, socks and more crap made in china.
Is this really the "vibrancy" that Columbia Heights needs?

Wow, this is some horrific and incredibly racist and classist 5hlt. I agree with you on the personal care products being so obviously stole, but most of these people are immigrants try to survive.

Try not to be such a cold and heartless POS. If you don't like it, move to Bethesda.

Where do you think all these products are coming from and why they are locked up on CVS? How does selling CVS shampoo outside the target on 14th contribute to "vibrancy"- the sidewalks end up looking like shit, none of these products are anything special, it undercuts the actual retail we need to have in the city. And maybe you need to stop acting like immigrants can't do any better than selling socks on the sidewalk. And telling someone to move is a total racist move, YOU are assuming that anyone living in a city should just assume chaos, and crime because YOU assume that must go hand in hand with immigrants, low income or people of color. Check you own biases.

The guys selling fenced goods at 14 and Irving are not immigrants.

Kent Boese is an extremist when it comes to historic preservation and an incompetent gossip to boot. He should be nowhere near policymaking.

Nadeau completely diluted the black vote.

I don’t think this will last once she leaves office in a few years.
