No, and he should have made better decisions...as in thinking about how HIS behavior could harm others. I'm more concerned for true victims. |
I’m sure they are trained to tase people who are a danger to themselves or others. Which they did. |
In this thread and indeed in this world: people who deep down don't believe black people are full humans. The lack of care and concern for a human makes this evident. This world is so depressing. |
That can be your takeaway (although I’m not sure why). Or, people are responsible for their actions. That’s another one. Or, we need better training for police. There’s a third. |
It's kind of depressing to think that some people make judgments based on their dislike for police officers. You might want to learn a thing or two about tactics and use of force before commenting on these incidents. |
100% White people don’t value Black bodies. We see it time and time again. Black people are expected to be perfect in order to not be killed. If they aren’t perfect, they somehow deserved it. We Black people are not given the benefit of the doubt that white people are afforded. We all know it. We see you. [NP] |
Do we even know the cause of death? |
The officer in the video holding him down was black. Did his body matter? |
I think it's depressing that any person could grow up thinking he/she can do whatever he/she wants and not experience consequences for engaging in criminal behaviors that can harm innocent victims. Accountability matters. |
To white people? Likely no. There are lots of Black cops. Many still hold those same opinions about Black bodies. I’m not surprised you don’t know that. [PP] |
White males do it every day. |
No one cares in LA. We are not protesting in the streets like we did for George Floyd. Keep posting, OP. Police did nothing wrong. |
PP here. I clearly said any person. I also said he or she. I meant it. Anyone. |
As a black woman to three black sons, I think the officer was amazing! He was calm, patient and reassuring to the guy even though it was obvious that the man was tweaking. He wanted water, you got it. You want to be in the light so others can see, you got it. He was walking into the road, he made sure he was safe. The black man got up multiple times but the officer remained calm. I hope he gets an award and great recognition. The black man, although sad he died, got what was coming to him. I am glad he is away from the children. |
Haha! Sure, PP. You meant any person, not specifically Black people. Gaslight somewhere else. |
