Omg that article is great. I think most of the crazed posters here are members. |
This is a big problem for me too, regardless of the type of mask. My nose also itches near constantly, regardless of the mask. Cloth, surgical, N95. |
We went to Disney recently, wore masks everywhere, ate outside, and didn’t get Covid. Masks work if you wear them consistently and properly. |
Getting viral infections increases chances of getting cancer. Hpv causes various cancers, mono causes lymphoma . Wouldn’t shock me if even the cold causes cancer |
Getting CERTAIN viral infections increases chances of getting CERTAIN cancers. Let’s not get hysterical here. |
We have been to multiple, extremely crowded museums, indoor playgrounds, indoor restaurants, and have never gotten COVID from that. We have gotten COVID from a daycare outbreak and from an asymptomatic HCW family member we were staying with. To truly avoid COVID a person needs to be very socially isolated. |
And if/when you remove your mask, you will be China - just delaying the inevitable. |
I’ve been to Europe three times in the last 7 months, 9 flights, train rides, use metro frequently and never wear a mask. Not masking works too. |
Why would we need to remove them if they help keep us healthy? If it's NBD after close to 3 years of wearing, what is the downside to wear them in perpetuity? Like are there actually any documented risks to oral health, etc. from long-term mask usage? My dentist told me there have been studies showing that the bacterial "biome" in our mouths shifted slightly due to masking, but nothing necessarily negative. He still wears masks when seeing patients. |
What are you talking about? After around age 20, we mostly stop making new T cells and rely on keeping existing T cells alive. The thymus gland, which produces T cells, is mostly only active until puberty and then starts to slowly shrink and become replaces by fat. Once it's gone, it's gone! What on earth are you talking about, you produce T cells all the time??? There is plenty of evidence that covid damages T cells. But little wonder that the person who thinks T cells are so abundant has no understanding of this. |
Dentists have been wearing masks when seeing patients since long before Covid. It’s the standard of care. |
T cells undergo cell division - therefore making sure we have an adequate supply. |
Also mask brigade: just going to drop this here...
https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC8496910/ There is not "no harm in wearing a mask." "89.3% of the mask samples exhibited potential carcinogenic effects to humans." |
Because they’d have no business if we were forced to endure their bad breath!! |
Exactly. |
