Cool story. Meanwhile the restaurant lost revenue that they apparently need while opening themselves up to a potential discrimination lawsuit, and the "owned lib" does indeed get to eat, just somewhere else, and hopefully won't be contributing to MAGA coffers. |
1. No lawsuit because the masker and family didn't hear the lady and bartender slam them for their politics, and they're not going to find anyone to testify they did. 2. Just because they didn't have a lot of people in the pub doesn't mean they need the revenue from that party. They could be raking in plenty from other business opportunities such that it doesn't matter how many people actually come in to eat and drink. 3. MAGA coffers are doing plenty fine, thank you very much. |
The lady and bartender meant to slam them for their politics, but they actually slammed them for their precautionary health measures. Which is pretty dumb, not something to gloat over. The masks weren't hurting them. And, we know MAGA coffers are doing fine. Y'all try to portray yourselves as the disenfranchised working class to gain sympathy, when in reality you are the elite puppet masters pulling everyone else's strings, forcing people to take unnecessary risks to their health and lives. |
A discrimination lawsuit? Being stupid isn’t a protected class. |
I assume they’re actively sick/infected, and are doing the responsible thing and wearing a mask to capture any spittle, mucous or sputum that might escape their nose/mouth when they cough. I try to assume they’re sick - because the only alternative theory means they can’t understand how a mask works and when to wear one - and that means they’re just really, really stupid. |
We know that from the Jan 6th sentencing but thanks. |
So you think all doctors and nurses are either sick (yet still working) or just really, really stupid? Brilliant. |
Way to go "owning the libs." Funny thing is, conservative people with common sense and chronic health conditions also wear masks. It's been interesting watching my conservative family members have to face how much their fellow conservatives and evangelicals dislike them for their chronic health conditions now. One has even gone into therapy because her church rejected her--she has to wear a mask because she has immune system issues she takes weekly infusions for. Keep on "owning the libs" and assuming everyone who wears a mask is a "lib." |
Imagine sharing this story and thinking of it as someone “getting owned,” thinking that being a jerk is positive and sharing this story like it’s not also an admission of your being a jerk. There’s a correlation alright. It’s between being Republican and being terrible. They keep telling us who they are. |
This Cape Charles is an adorable little town, but I may not go back after reading this story. What a-holes. |
This story does not represent Cape Charles as a whole by any stretch of the imagination. |
I sure hope not! So curious which establishment this was, but we can probably figure it out - not a big town. |

This. When someone shows you who they are, believe them. |
+1 This kind of story, if true, is the RWNJs wet dream. |
