More specifically, it's the end to safe and legal abortion for lower income women in red states. Upper income women will always be able to access safe and legal abortion.

Catholics are slightly more likely to support abortion rights than oppose them...although there is a racial divide (white vs hispanic). Going back to the 70s, the anti-abortion lobby was increasingly seized by white evangelical christians as yet another culture war issue.

Yes, talk about activism. Now in some states women will have to take babies to term after rape or incest. I think some states even want to force you to have a full funeral for the fetus after a miscarriage.
