Pregnant with first child now and we'll both be 35 when they're born.

Ridiculous, you know that right? Waiting till 35 to have a kid. Unless you had fertility trouble, I do not understand the wait to have a kid. They? Gosh, save me from this snowflaking.

As for me, I met my DH at 34 and was married at 35. He was 36/37. Married over 20 years.

I think it might be something of selection bias. If you meet very young, you are more likely to contribute than if you think I'm just like everyone else.

This. Women ( primary contributors to DCUM) have a tendency to think meeting and marrying young is an accomplishment they got chose so they are more likely to answer at the same time, women tend to think marring late is something to be ashamed of do less likely to answer.

Why would anyone be ashamed of being single? It’s bad luck, not a personal flaw.

Or good luck.

I’m the PP who married at 25. Born and raised in the DMV. And no I’m not a SAHM. Went to a T14 and practice in Big Law.

I’m the one above you from DC. Also have always worked/had a career. I’m a Fed.

I went to a T14 and so many of my classmates got married the summer after graduation (not all to other law students).

Met when we were 25 (only 6 months apart in age).

Married at 28
Kids at 31, 33 and 36

Now 38 and still going strong. Only one in our friend group with 3 kids and we were the first to have kids. Totally understand the reasoning to wait but god I am glad I am done having kids, especially glad I am done with having my first kid. That was nerve wrecking!

24. Dated casually on and off for a few years. Then decided to give it a proper go around age 28. Moved in together at 29, bought a house at 31, engaged and married at 33 when we decided we were ready for kids. Can’t believe it’s been almost 20 years since we first met!
