Actually it seems to be quite the opposite...there are numerous posts just on this thread randomly knocking UVA and anyone that responds, your post included. No dog in this fight so just my outside observation. |
| Gatech is more rigorous than UVA. |
GT is absolutely prestigious in tech fields. You are very ignorant for not knowing this. If you want to go into tech, you are definitely better off going there than to Emory - and getting into GT does not involve competing against people who don't want to do tech, as does getting into Emory. |
That's probably true, is it not? |
I didn’t see anyone knocking UVA, just UVA boosters. UVA people making every thread about UVA *is* a thing, if you’re new here. |
I'd argue GT is better than Emory in many areas and I wouldn't argue that UVA is the best in Virginia for everything a student might be looking for either. |
GT might focus on tech but they do share majors like business and neuroscience etc. |
That’s too bad for Virginia. UVA is so weak in STEM for a supposedly top 50 school. |
To be fair Emory is much harder to get into and if you want to do anything besides Tech then Emory is the better choice. |
+1 |
Top 25, cry about it my guy. Cry like the day you got rejected from UVA. Literally the only reason why you bash UVA on every thread lol. |
The VA area is government heavy. The skills needed are not really stem related. Regarding Emory and GT, yes GT is better for STEM but Emory is still the better more prestigious school. No one thinks VT is better than UVA even though VT is better for STEM. When Biden went to go visit Atlanta after the mass shooting he went to Emory to speak not GT. Says all that needs to be said really. |
Newsflash. The T in STEM stands for Tech. |
I honestly don't have a dog in this fight, but the Emory boosters continuing to insist that Emory is "better" than GaT in departments that GaT doesn't even have is starting to make them look downright insecure. |
| Georgia Tech is no 1or 2 in the nation for aerospace engineering. My kid got in. Now doing a doctorate in electrical engineering at Princeton . You can’t do better. That’s why all the internationals want to study there |
