Melania Trump modeling career

Okay now that it has been a minute, this just pops into my head all the time.

Melania trump was not a working model. The only pictures of her pre-Trump are black and white photos of her as a teen and the nudes from NYC (no shade, nudes are great). But from the time she was supposed to be working as a model in Europe? NOTHING. No runway pics. No catalog shoots. NOTHING AT ALL.

I guess no one cared about this because the First Lady just isn’t that important but I’m just still so impressed/horrified by the balls to tell a lie like that.

Anyway. Maybe someone will do a dissertation 30 years from now and I’ll get my answers.

I think a story about the circumstances around her obtaining her visa would be fascinating.

I think the "modeling" in the US was a cover for her being a (very) high priced escort. Lots of NDAs, etc., which is part of the reason that she is incredibly litigious about anything that attempts to look into her background.

I mean I don’t know about that, it’s probably just as likely that her family was supporting her and the modeling wasn’t taking off. But the audacity to claim she was a successful model and not even somehow fabricate evidence? I mean it’s not like there are no photos from 2000.

Totally, 100% This is very common and kinda the way it works in the modeling field overall. Girls sign with an agency (do we even know her agency?) and are brought into one of the big cities to work. That whole time, their agency is charging them for rent, transportation, etc. They don't hit the ground making money, they start going into debt. They go on go-sees which they are not paid for. When they are low level, what they do book may be paid for in clothes. Their agency doesn't want clothes as payment and you can't use clothes to buy food. What they do have are people who pay to be surrounded by models and hopefully sleep with them. So they can easily latch onto that scene and go out every night and try to see if they can hook someone. They may not have an actual Madam/Pimp but someone is paid to show up with them to party and they are highly incentivized to do more. If they can't pay their agency and they don't book, boom. Back to your home country. Most don't want to do that, so they compromise. 5000 bucks for one night with some gross guy could buy them another month in NYC looking for that big break before they're sent home. So they do it.

I have NO DOUBT this is what Melania was doing at that "party" she met Trump at, if not in something more organized. I think the idea her parents were paying for her to live all over Europe and in NYC is preposterous. They were middle class, but I do not get the sense they could afford that in the slightest.

I can't imagine choosing to waste thoughts on Melania Trump in the year 2022. Why?????? I've never been any good at meditation but do take this advice from my meditation app because it is correct: imagine these thoughts are clouds and simply watch them float on by. Goodbye thoughts about Melania Trump! Have a nice day! The sky is so blue. There are so many fluffy clouds. I wonder what comes next?

She’s still proudly and publicly participating in frauds (the NFT business discussed in Politics.) Doesn’t seem strange to me that someone might revisit the scene of her original lie(s) and marvel at how brazen it is and was.

No one cares because it’s Melania. She barely showed a hint of personality, emotion, or intelligence during her stunt as First Lady, and the little she did show was vile (the jacket). So… I would be glad if she was never spoken about again.

NP here. No shade on sex workers but when you’re the First Lady of the US standing on a political platform that has undermined women reproductive rights, sexual freedom, and equal pay and cloaked itself in “Christian values” for decades it’s a tad sanctimonious.

What’s impressive is how they were able to bury everything about Trump Model Management.
