coffee w/ almond milk

Snack:
yogurt

Lunch:
squash soup

Dinner:
green tea
tomato + cucumber salad
baked salmon w/ baby red potatoes
strawberries dipped in chocolate for dessert

Honestly like 4 on a really good day 😅

Today I had some shredded lettuce on my sub and coleslaw with my pulled pork tacos. I might have a banana as a snack tonight.

On average probably 1, maybe 2. I don't eat fruit and on many days I do not eat any vegetables either. A few days a week I eat a large salad to try to improve my overall vegetable intake.

I don't eat a whole lot, I just don't get as hungry as I used to, so my calories are "fine," but this also means the little/moderate amount I do eat isn't always the healthiest. It's like, if this is going to be one of the few things I'm eating today, I want protein and I do tend towards animal products. And sugar-- not a huge actual amount, but it makes up too high a percentage of my calories IMO (calories range from 1000-2000, but probably average 1400-1600, and I'm not dieting). I think I'll become a bit malnourished if I don't watch out.

I LOVE roasted veggies and salads and so on... less a fan of most fruit. But some days I get like... one serving of fruits/veg. Yikes. Other days, a bit more. If we don't count beans/nuts/seeds, I'm especially bad off.

Today-- counting corn and beans-- I had... maybe 2 total servings according to the USDA. About the same yesterday. If I end up with a big old salad for dinner, I can hit maybe 3-4. Maybe 5-6 on an amazing day, when I'm out picking fruit or just went to the farmers market or something. It's not great!

A fair amount, but I am a vegetarian.

Today I had a salad for lunch with tons of veggies and for dinner I had lots of onions, mushrooms and bell peppers (cooked in something, not plain).

The serving sizes are super small - 1 cup for greens, 1/2 cup for cooked veggies, so I think get enough.

Entirely depends on intestinal activity, OP

Today I had 4 veggie and 3 fruit servings so 7. 10 is hard on most days.

Probably not 10 servings. Today I had:

Skim latte
Cheese tortellini for lunch

Salad for dinner with hard boiled egg, spinach, cherry tomatoes, and poppy seed dressing
An apple

So I was probably ok for veggies, but definitely not fruit.

Put the fruit and veggies out on the counter so you see them first and eat them. Clementines, mini peppers, grapes, etc. If things are better cold, I put them out right as we all get home. My youngest, who is a terrible snacker, will reach right for them instead of diving into the pantry for a box of crackers. Heck, my kids used to eat still-frozen peas and corn while I cooked!

That is all you ate in the entire day?

OP here - It didn't occur to me that beans/ nuts and seeds would count. I usually have 1-2 servings of those a day, easily. (I add flax seeds to my morning oatmeal and I usually eat nuts while cooking dinner.)

I have a banana and blueberries and/or other berries every day and usually an apple and/or a clementine or two, depending how things look in my fridge. I eat a lot of dried apricots, too. (I just eat a lot in general - my metabolism hasn't gone to crap yet at 49).

I try to add a side of baby carrots and/or cherry tomatoes to whatever I'm eating for lunch, but I usually don't actually want them.

Dinner almost always has a side of roasted or steamed veggies and/or salad. If I have dessert, it's often a frozen chocolate covered half banana.

I can't say that I've ever made an effort to count servings of fruit, veggies or anything else.

Usually 5-6 every day. I have a green smoothie after working out every day and that includes a banana, cup of frozen fruit, and spinach or kale. Thats 3 right there. I usually snack on an orange or pear after lunch and have vegetables along with dinner.
