| I’m not asking if it exists or not, just does it cares? |
| We do know he is vengeful otherwise there was no reason to make hell or let humans make nuclear bombs but is he merciful? |
| Miracles have happened to me. I don't try to understand. I'm just grateful |
| If he exists, and we exist and have free will, that to me defines love |
| I don’t. |

I would love to believe in a higher power - it's the lazy way out, putting one's faith in someone else. But I can't. I can't be a Viking or Ancient Greek and accept that a higher power would let innocents suffer and die in the worse conditions. I prefer to think of life as a Natural force shaped by evolution (meaning, random change selected by years of pressure to survive), rather than believe in a vengeful and uncaring God. And since I'm a biologist, Natural forces is fine by me. |
| I don't, at all. |
| I don’t see God as being “good” or “bad.” He just “is.” I think all this questioning about why bad things happen to good people is silly. I don’t believe it’s possible to either impress or disappoint God because God is immutable in time. God knows everything. There’s nothing God doesn’t know, including what we perceive as the future. We perceive a past and a future because we’re mutable in time. God’s immutable in time. God has no past and no future. God perceives everything as one eternal present. We can’t impress or disappoint God because whatever we do, that’s what He created. God knows everything you’re ever going to do because for God, it’s already happened. If you want to learn more about this read Saint Boethius. |
| Another thread by an anti-theist trying to pick a fight with people who believe in God. It’s laughable, how obsessed they are with God. He lives rent free in their heads. |
You are so very much, because you post here daily. That’s caring about a topic. |
How so? |
Oh, look, you parroted a tired Trumper talking point. Sorry you’re not very bright. |
