Considering for next year. How do you rank these and what has been your experience - both good and bad?
St. Anselm, Landon, STA, GPrep and the Heights…. |
| Prep is different because they only take high schoolers like Gonzaga and Dematha |
|
Dematha is not as competitive. Not as rigorous. Actually, probably the least rigorous of all the schools.
My rankings would be: STA GPrep Landon Gonzaga The Heights St. Anselms Dematha |
|
STA-SAAS
Heights -GPrep Landon-Gonzaga Dematha |
|
In terms of academic rigor,
St. Anselms St. Albans Georgetown Prep Gonzaga Heights Landon DeMatha |
|
STA
Landon GPrep St. Anselms - but not mainstream Heights |
St. Anselms 1st!
I would put them before Dematha, after Landon but I agree with this otherwise. |
| Which are better all around? Including rigor, sports, college matriculations? |
|
STA
Landon Georgetown Prep Gonzaga St, Anselms and Heights don’t compete in “all around” category |
STA is most elite by a large amount. |
For academic rigor, it's not even close. SAAS |
STA boys also work really hard. And they have a higher average SAT score than SAAS. |
Ahead of STA? |
Yes . . . for those who know both schools, it's clear on the rigor side. https://www.dcurbanmom.com/jforum/posts/list/1029530.page |
If you are asking, it just means you know nothing about SAAS, which is pretty typical. |
