Former public defender, experienced, brilliant - Biden made a great choice!

| Agree. Brilliant pick. |
| Exciting |
| Thank god it was on her merits, not go any other pre announced reasons. |
| She’s related by marriage to former Speaker Ryan! |
She is far more qualified than Amy Coney Barrett. And ACB totally wasn’t chosen because she was a woman, right? |
| Notorious kbj |
No, because she’s a handmaiden. |
| Is she a leftist or a rational thinker? That’s all I care about. |
Go read her opinions, then. There’s almost a decade of them. |
|
Awful person. She led the U.S. Sentencing Commission in its giveaway to the crackheads. That 30% of DC people who are terrified in their own neighborhoods? Blame her.
Oh, and she isn’t just a public defender. She SERVES on their Board of Directors. But it’s even worse. Unlike so many of her fellow judges overseeing that program, she supports MORE spending for them. Plenty of judges use their place on the Judicial Conference committees to go after the wasteful and dilatory practices of these court-appointed lawyers and public defenders. The courts are supposed to balance the scales of justice. Judges can’t set budgets for DOJ; that’s the President’s job. But the Federal Judiciary does get to direct its healthy skepticism towards every single penny these people try to spend. That’s their obligation to be sure that not one more cent than the minimum is spent. That’s their duty to the victims of their crimes. So when this Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson questions the Judiciary’s funding formulas and asks that the Judiciary request more $ from Congress not for courts but for these lawyers??? Well, that’s not what you do if you think you should be on SCOTUS. |
| I like that she comes from the public defender side. The court could stand some different perspectives. |
DP. Considering all your vile insults about ACB, we won't be hearing a peep from you if KBJ is criticized in any way. Right? |
ACB- was a vile candidate. Unqualified and unworthy of the court. |
