We all know interviews are nearly irrelevant. Why do we expect the interview score to correlate with any other scoring? The AO says ‘unlikeable’ it’s based on essay or LOR and things the interviewer didn’t access. DP |
What if it is another asian with the same stats that took your spot?
It is most likely. |
Americans are treated very well in Asians countries. |
Asians also get good LOR. I don't agree with your wild guess, but people have different opinions, so that's why we have the court. We'll see what the court says. |
That's why we have the court to find out. |
Sure, but interviewer marking likable is faint praise, got nothing better to say. A good LOR would have the student in context of their peers, student leadership, etc. These are going to be different snapshots, they will score differently. The disparity alone is nothing but a talking point. |
Do you believe that the Supreme Court is about to rule on the admission of this particular young man with his 1590 SAT score to the Harvard class of 2027? |
I’m a white American and experienced overt racism in Asia. |
Except they won’t. You sound really naive. |
This particular young man joined the existing bigger lawsuit. The Supreme Court is about to rule on the massive systematic racial discrimination against Asians. |
White Americans are usually treated very well in Asian countries. Maybe you didn't respect the local culture or something. Asian countries like Korea/Japan/China tend to discriminate South East Asians. |
Is it “respecting the local culture” to whine when not accepted to colleges? |
We should all respect the decision by the US Supreme Court at least if you are a citizen of the US. |
Respecting the law is completely different than respecting the culture. I am pretty sure you know that people that are not of the specific Asian nationality are not treated well. Immigration is far stricter and Xenophobia is much worse than the US. |
Maybe things have changed over the years. I distinctly remember when Yu Ying sent a group of students to China as part of its curriculum, a little Black boy was openly teased by Chinese women demanding that he(the little Black boy) show his tail. Maybe your definition of “very well” differs from most people which witnessed that exchange. It was disgusting to say the very least. Or maybe you just mean white people are treated very well in Asian countries. Which says a lot about you PP. |
