Bullis struggled in the first half. I believe they were down by at least half. They did better in second half.

Did any of the Bullis freshmen get in? How'd they look? They have a freshman goalie I know from my son's club yrs, wondering if he got some PT. They've had a nice pipeline from Fracyon to Ferguson, wondering what comes next.

I don’t know about the goalie. Most starters stayed in until the 5th quarter.

Some IAC and WCAC squads kick off their seasons today and some pretty intriguing games

PVI @ Loyola Blakefield
DeMatha@ Prep
STA @ Severn

Neutral Predictions:

PVI over Loyola: 10 - 8
Prep over DeMatha: 13 - 7
Severn over STA: 9 - 7

Good luck players and coaches!

Agree with two of the three:
Loyola over PVI: 12 - 7
Prep over DeMatha: 15 - 8
Severn over STA: 11 - 8

PVI beats Loyola in an OT thriller.... remember the game is in Baltimore, dealing with Baltimore ref stinks. They have a inherent bias against DC are teams, expect the Panthers to have some phantom calls against them.

Prep wins big over the Stags.

Severn squeaks by St Albans in a very close game.

All played in 5 qtr which i think all would assume is pretty typical. Currently, Bullis only has Cuse commit and freshman goalie. Other three freshman are middies...

What about the sophomores? 12 of them are DCE Black kids.

To SJC partisans: Is that report accurate?

Seems high (unprecedented?), but solid accomplishment for those boys. Even if they don't play much beyond mop-up time, practicing every day with the older players will benefit them, long-term.

SJC - 7/8 Freshman
Bullis - 4 Freshman
PVI - 5/6 Freshman
Prep - 4 Freshman
GZ - ??
EHS - 2 Freshman

Not a bad class or lots of departures in the upper class for example replacing 22 seniors for SJC.

According to the roster online Prep has 1 freshman

Prep vs DeMatha today?

Prep should win. DeMatha didn’t look very good in their last scrimmage.

WCAC may add St. John Paul the Great. Maybe they will go to a two level lacrosse league. They would be a B league level team.
