Somebody Somewhere on HBO

I’m surprised not to see a thread on this. I love this show. Anyone else sharing the love?

I love this show! Just watched the third episode today. The portrayal of the dysfunctional dynamic is done so well, and I love the friendship between the two main characters (frankly I’m jealous of her, because I wish I could meet a friend like that in mid life, someone who knew me when I was young and really gets me and remembers random things about me from our childhood). Just saw it got picked up for season 2 which is great!

Meant to write “dysfunctional family dynamic” above.

Haven’t seen it yet, but loved Jeff Hiller from this Grubstreet Diet entry: https://www.grubstreet.com/2022/01/jeff-hiller-grub-street-diet.html

I saw it had good reviews and have tried the first few episodes but am not feeling it.

I was iffy on it the first episode but I feel myself falling in love. The dynamic between the two main characters is so sweet.

I'm enjoying it

Thanks for posting. I think that woman was on the Jerry Seinfeld comedians show and was funny so I was thinking of checking it out.

I’m loving it. So nice after all the depressing shows.

Bridget Everett is really toned down for TV:

I look forward to this show each week. It’s a feel good show without being sappy. Such a gem!

I watched the most recent 2 episodes back to back yesterday. I love Sam! She and Joel's dynamic is so real. When she skreeches and yells at him and it doesn't bother them/their dynamic is the marker of a true friendship. I was crying laughing.

This is good.

I saw her at the KenCen a couple of years ago and had no idea she was so ....open...in her act. I am pretty sure the people in the front rows with their heads buried in her naked breasts were surprised as well.
