Can we bring back Jack R Smith please?

We really miss the leadership. He did a fantastic job during the start of pandemic keeping everyone safe allowing academics to continue. Right now, this is just a circus

Smith, Starr or Weast. Anyone but McKnight.

Nostalgia is a potent drug! We were castigating Jack Smith here before he left, too. And (damn you, Joshua) Starr, and Weast, too.

None of them did a good job and he set all this in motion, she's just following what he set in place.

Serious question. Does Dr. Monifa McKnight take responsibility for anything? Anything at all? Does she realize that she’s in charge? Does she understand what accountability means?

McKnight has done an excellent job catering to the TogetherAgain parents…. what a disaster that has been.

She's made plenty of mistakes, but keeping schools open isn't one of them. I say this as a teacher. I still don't think she should get the job, as she's a horrible communicator and lost the confidence of nearly every principal and teacher in the system. Happy parents seem to be few and far between as well. I would be happy if they brought back Dr. Starr, but the board would never do that because they parted ways so acrimoniously. I do wonder if the principals who vocally opposed Dr. Starr bac in the day would rather have him than Dr. McKnight right now. Certainly his desire to focus on mental health might mean kids would have more support. Either way, let's learn from the past several years of mistakes and hire someone who has a proven record as a super and is a good communicator. I fear that few have applied for the job though. I mean, who would want it?

Even if he were here, you would get district-wide virtual/hybrid. That approach is a relic of the 2020/21 school year. No public school system in the state/region/country/world is doing that.

When in fact, many are. Do you even read the news? You are terribly misinformed.

As a matter of extended policy (i.e., as was the case in 2020-21) and not operational/situationally? Where?

Especially if DCUM's vetting counts!

Honestly, for all the mistakes that Dr. McKnight has made, she has still been light years better than Smith.

For 2 years, when the community needed him most, he just didn't seem to care. At all. Almost like he just couldn't be bothered.

I would give McKnight a C-. Lots to improve on, but she's working.

Smith got a failing grade: F

Sarr was by far the worst. 2.0 mess was under his watch and he did everything possible to dismantle magnets.
