Best hot cereal for health/taste?

I think I saw Bob's Red Mill mentioned here, but I looked at their website and there are so many hot cereals! Which is the best?

I’ve been eating oat bran. Not really any flavor on its own, but high in protein and fiber and you can add fruits, etc, for flavor and texture.

I just eat oatmeal, it’s so versatile

How do you make the oat bran? Literally just the oat bran boiled with water...? And then add fruit and nuts? I'd think eating that much bran isn't good for you.

I’m not sure what’s the “healthiest”, but Cream of Wheat is my favorite by far

probably the least healthy option, but at least it's high in iron. Oatmeal, especially steel cut, is healthier on all counts. Basically any whole grain cereal, OP.

What difference does it make in how it’s cut?

I make oatmeal with milk, flaxseed, wheat germ, and brown sugar. Add a sliced banana, a handful of fresh berries, a handful of walnuts. It holds me until dinner sometimes, is so delicious, and is heart healthy.

Grits aren’t healthy. But, they are God’s gift to breakfast.

Oh that is for sure!

I sure wish I liked oatmeal... the texture turns my stomach. I'm not typically a picky eater.

Less processed. Steel cut has more fiber and nutrients, lower glycemic index. A bit of a pain to prepare comparatively. I use my instapot.
