| We are cutting out carbs except for veggies. I would like to try some new side dishes. Any ideas? |
| Most veggies are keto. Maybe you need to start slow and try to reduce your sugar, then bread etc. Drastic changes don't stick. |

What do you already do?
My go to this time of year is anything that will roast. Parsnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, squash, broccoli, asparagus, cauliflower, etc. A little olive oil and some salt and pepper and roast until crispy. You can also make a nice glaze with mustard and maple syrup, but I don't know if the syrup would work with your diet. We also love fresh green beans or corn salads. I do a summer corn salad with sweet corn, black beans, red and green peppers. But not until you can get fresh corn -- it just doesn't work well with frozen or canned. |
| If you're used to starchier stuff cauliflower rice can fill that gap. |
| I love chickpeas, and use them like you'd use pasta in a pasta salad. I make versions with Italian, Greek, Spanish, Mexican, Thai, Turkish herbs/seasonings/veggies/cheeses. Cauliflower rice is also good. It's not great by itself, but it makes a decent based for a pilaf-type thing. |
I’m just looking for side dishes. |
| I like cooked green vegetables with a red accent, like roasted broccoli with romesco or sauteed green beans with cherry tomatoes, garlic and onions. |
| All the roasted veggies-cauli, broccoli, Brussels, cabbage, Korean cucumber salad, green beans with bacon, kale salad. Those are my regulars. |
| Roasted root vegetables with tons of garlic. Make sure some beets are in there |
| Do you eat eggs? |
|
I like to do a not-green veggie to take the place of starch, plus a green veggie

PP here,
I forgot zucchini. Sauteed, as zoodles, and I just found a recipe for mini zucchini kugels that looked so good. Like little muffins with egg and zucchini. |

Cabbage cooked with some bacon is easy and delicious
Roasted broccoli and roasted cauliflower are so much better than steamed Kale salad with oil, vinegar, garlic and lemon juice dressing. Top with small amount of toasted pine nuts. |
