Anti-maskers demand service in Silver Spring restaurant

Those poor workers. Glad they don’t have to deal with this in DC - no vaccine passport and no mask - no entry.

Imagine being such a colossally large manbaby (or womanbaby) that you get hysterical and compare wearing a mask during a pandemic to the Holocaust.

Morons.

There have also been issues in DC.

Good for those employees. They were attacking via the holocaust as its a kosher restaurant and very large population of orthodox Jews.

I don’t support their behavior but you gotta know if you can dine in, it’s mask theater.

So what? Don't like it, eat at home.

I do because I don’t want to get covid. But I want you to know you’re wearing mask mandates everywhere when you engage in mask theater. No wonder there are detractors- you’re not being reasonable

You’re weakening mask mandates and the case for them

100%. You people need to get out of your little bubble. Millions upon millions of Americans and others worldwide are living mask free just fine. It is nothing but political mask theater at this point. I don't agree with what these people did, as if it is the rule, then you should comply, but the issue is why it is the rule. Cloth masks are pretty much useless. We are told if you are vaxed your chances of ending up in the hospital are extremely low, and it is always your option to continue wearing the mask if you are so unhealthy and/or so afraid. The areas of the country that have not and still do not have mask mandates have similar and in many cases better infection and death rates per capita as the areas with strict mask mandates.

Next time the employees need to simply stop engaging with these attention-seeking idiots. Just go about their business and only engage with those who are masked. If they stop giving an audience to them, they will leave. And if these anti-maskers are so upset, let them go complain to the health department and law makers.

They are morons, true. However, why is there no common sense here?
They will eat without masks, they will take them off and most people do not put them on when talking to their waiter.
So, the circus of having a mask on when you enter and exit is also insane and makes no sense. Stupidity all around.

I'm not in a bubble. I spend a lot of time in places where no one wears masks for anything. That's fine. Those places can choose the rules that work for them, that's democracy. When I'm in Montgomery County I follow the rules, and I don't go yelling at random restaurant employees. There's zero excuse for that.

The masks are a proxy for covid risk. If you’re unwilling to wear a mask while walking in, you probably engage in lots of other high-risk behavior and thus present an increased risk of bringing covid into the restaurant..

+1. I don’t know why we allow dining in right now. And I don’t know why anyone concerned about the pandemic would partake in it

Cute please. The lady find my fox watching mom claimed this, I looked it up, and the lax state have much higher death rates per 100,000.
