Those familiar with both - which would you choose. Undecided major but definitely in liberal arts and not STEM. |
UCLA is going to be more "California" and fun. Both are fantastic schools that are very hard to gain admission either in State or out of state. |
Not worth the price. |
Berkeley |
Whichever one you might get in to. |
UCLA for a more outgoing kid who is an extrovert and likes to party. Berkeley for the introvert who is a serious studier who closes down the bookstore on a Friday night.
UCLA if they like watching sports. Berkeley if they don't care. |
Expensive for OOS, just like Michigan. I don’t know if it’s worth paying all that over in-state UVA or UMD, but I can definitely see the allure for students if cost isn’t an issue. |
Yeah, Berkeley's a tiny school full of wallflowers. Why do DCUMers feel the need to post even when they have nothing at all to offer? |
Assuming one of those liberal arts majors isn’t impacted, the student should see how strong that particular department rates. |
Berkeley |
Wouldn't stanford/pomona be better for liberal arts at the same price? |
I'd chose ucla but neither are ideal. Uva is stronger at undergrad liberal art fields than both imo |
UCLA 100%
More school spirit & community, better campus/neighborhood |
Why? At 45k it is cheaper than any of t20-t30 private school |
For brand name definitely Berkeley |
