Madsen's son was in the army and served in Afghanistan. Wonder how that impacted him.

Oh wow - yes, that's three. Reminds me of the summer when Farrah Fawcett died on the same day as Michael Jackson. And then Patrick Swayze and Natasha Richardson all surrounding that.

Young people are sad about how the Earth and enviornment has been messed up. Compound that with inequity in wealth and civil liberties anda hugely polluted Earth and is it really worth living anymore? Social media has also corrupted our perception of reality and it is hard to feel good about ourselves.

What is working well? What's to look forward to in life?

Young person here - my corner of the planet is fine. It used to be only crazy Greenpeace activists worked up about this stuff - you really think an entire generation is killing itself over it?

Teach your kids to have hope. And faith.
Otherwise, why bother?

Many of these folks don't live as great lives as the media and social media make it out to be. They probably didn't have involved parents or parents who noticed to get them treatment when it first started. The pandemic isn't to blame and very few people are being isolated right now except by choice.

These are wealthy, privileged kids who may or may not care about any of that and have never experienced poverty or inequity.

You need to put the time into your kids, not just money and if its a genetic/real mental health issue don't just wish it away and get them help, hospitalize them if you have to.

These kids are not wealthy themselves, their parents are. And, they probably had pretty rough lives despite the wealth. Some needed love and time, not money.

It is not as simplistic as you are making it out to be.

I just saw on TV Regina King and her son and her son’s or BFF on … New Year’s Eve maybe? They seemed adorable and very close. This is heartbreaking
