| enjoy the long weekend!! |
| Where’s the poor guy who was supposed to be there at work at 7? I hope he got the news! |
| So they closed 1 hour after the time to reassess and the time of the message online says 7:28 pm |
Yup! |
|
I think the 5am was a mistake in the original message just like it accidentally said Tuesday. Whenever there’s a delay they decide by 7, not 5.
This was inevitable once OPM closed. They have never opened when the feds were closed. Nobody wants to stick their neck out and I probably wouldn’t either in that position. |
| I bet the stagger who updates the messages is out with Covid and they have an intern doing it |
| All the snow days this week seem like divine intervention. I’ve been sending my son in to school but I’m breathing a small sign of relief. The lack of communication by MCPS about their COVID policy and consistency is baffling. McKnight needs to go. |
| Curious….What do working parents do when school is closed all week? Or is everyone working from home these days? |
Yup still at home. It’s like March of 2020 again. |
Negative much. They sent out notification around 6:15am, and had announced 2hr delay last evening. Good grief |
For us, it’s one time when we benefit from having one parent who is a non-teleworking fed. Was floored when OPM called it when they did though! |
My high school kid is walking to the bus stop before 7. I thought they decided at 5am most of the time (we are new to MCPS). |
It’s still hard to get any work done with kids running around the house all day. |
Many have no choice but to leave the children to fend for themselves. At the younger elementary level, that means no school work is etting done. I have a friend who is a single mom to an 8 and a 6 year old. She has to drastically cut her hours to be home with them. So less income for her. |
Ha ha! This makes sense. |
