So many questions about Cheesecake Factory…

Anonymous
The first question is “what is good?” We got a $150 gift card and I don’t really know where to start with this menu; I might just spend it all in plain cheesecake.

The other questions: these calorie counts!! Hahahaha i am dying! How does almost every single dish on this monster menu, sides included, contain more calories than I probably eat in a day?? I know this is not news but I haven’t looked at one of their menus in years and I just bowled over by the absurdity of this.

Also how is this place associated with the middle class? Is it just the portion sizes? It doesn’t seem cheap to me. I’m not one to go to ultra-fancy restaurants but is the Cheesecake Factory really less expensive than, say, Jaleo?

Middle class?

It is absurd. Just always assume every entree is actually two. We order from there occasionally and immediately split them in two. I’ve liked some of their salads.

Send your gift card to me. My family would enjoy it.

Hey I never said I’m not going to enjoy it!

There's a white raspberry cheesecake that's really good.

In a weird food emergency we once went there for brunch. DON'T do that - we both agreed we'd have rather go hungry. But the four cheese pasta is totally decent. And they have a whole section of their menu (which is bigger than the bible) that's lower calorie. My cousin LOVES this place and likes to visit each one in each new city she goes to.

Oh pasta is a good idea since this will be takeout. Good to know brunch isn’t great. There is some French toast thing that’s like 2K calories that I was tempted to try.

Chicken samosa appetizers
Evelyn’s pasta
White chocolate raspberry cheesecake
Most cocktails are good
Check out the Skinnylicious menu for items with reasonable calorie counts.

Enjoy!

Cheesecake Factory is where the lower class people go to be fancy.

And I say this as someone who grew up dirt poor and whose family always went to the Cheesecake Factory when there was extra money for a special occasion meal.

I'm not saying it's a place that only the low class eat in at all, either. Don't want to open that can of worms on here.

But like, when my mom won a $100 Visa gift card at work one year, that baby was reserved for the Cheesecake Factory not your ordinary Applebee's or Ruby Tuesday!

This was literally me each time we got to go:

Avocado egg rolls are amazing. I like all the salads there. I had the cauliflower tacos last time and they were decent. They used to have a portobello mushroom sandwich I liked but I don't think they have it anymore. I have never tried any of the cheesecake because I don't like cheesecake at all.

Real middle class cannot for it.

It should have been mentioned in the Fancy Like song. It’s akin to Applebees. The portions are huge and quality not so good. Except the cheesecake. I’d spend the whole $150 on that.

I went to the Cheesecake Factory all the time as a college student. One meal would feed me for 3 days, because the portion sizes were so big.

If you road trip, save it for that. There's always one somewhere and yes, their salads do contain veggies!
