Any advice? Pregnant with 4th and looking to enjoy my "2 day break" following delivery 😂🤭😏 |
Uh, nothing is luxurious in a hospital during COVID. Just book yourself a spa day for the following week. |
OP here. Thanks for the (unhelpful) advice. What I mean is which hospitals have edible meals, celebratory dinner for two, spacious post delivery rooms, etc. |
Don’t know but it’s not GW. |
Sibley |
Sibley - rooms are huge and feels like a hotel, really. And I had my baby during the first winter Covid surge and still felt like it was a break bc we didn't so have to manage toddler at home, make any meals, do household stuff, etc. ![]() |
I'm this PP and the night nursery was open at limited capacity as well at the time. That is fluid these days I'm sure. |
Same Sibley PP and meals they deliver are surprisingly pretty good (for a hospital) |
Inova Fairfax has luxury packages. I don't have first-hand experience.

Celebratory meal for two in the hospital? This is hysterical. |
Even regular service at Inova Fairfax is goid. I found the food very edible. |
Drive to StoneSprings, L&D is very peaceful and they have a meal package - as well as a family pizza feast, which I laughed at because I hated having visitors when I gave birth. |
The Sibley rooms are large for a hospital but I did not find the food good. Your best bet is for DH to pick up a celebratory meal somewhere. |
Even Reston used to do this. Not during COVID though because of staff shortages and minimizing visitors. It’s just a special meal for the new parents. It’s really sweet, honestly |
https://www.marywashingtonhealthcare.com/Our-Services/Women-Children/Pregnancy-Motherhood/Tour-Our-Facilities.aspx I've given birth at Stafford Hospital down in Stafford, VA. The birthing center was very calm, and the celebratory dinner for me and hubby was a very nice touch!! They even gave us a Halo Sleep Sack for baby before checked out. Thoughtful touches to help make memories. |
