Political Discussion
Amos Hochstein could be a great guy, I don't know much about him. But an Israeli citizen and former IDF soldier is not a good mediator in this situation and there is an obvious appearance of bias. The US should have sent someone else. |
This is false. The majority of the leaders and the majority of the participants of the Russian revolution were non-Jews. Lenin and Stalin were not Jews, as notable examples. However, Putin has for example falsely spread a completely bogus talking point that "80-85% of the first Soviet government was Jewish" pointing to the handful of Jews that were involved, like Leon Trotsky. However, the reality is that Jews were very much a small minority. And in fact many of the Jews like Trotsky were purged by Stalin beginning in the 1920s, and it is Stalin, not "The Jews" who was responsible for the majority of the 11 million killed. The 11 million killed included many Jews. |
Don't forget what preceded the Nakba, which was the immediate rejection of the League of Nations agreement to partition the British-administered territory of Palestine to create a nation of Israel. The Arabs began an immediate uprising, first a civil war and then organized neighboring Arab states to try to conquer the designated Israeli lands and genocidally exterminate the Jews. You falsely portray the Nakba as having happened in a complete vacuum and ignore the fact that it was the result of a genocidal war that the Arabs started. |
You are clueless or dishonest. Do you know what's involved in the kind of door-to-door search would entail? Door to door fighting. Hamas snipers. IEDs. Ambushes. No risk? You truly are either the most dishonest poster here, or you are the most clueless and idiotic. |
Probably the same dishonest a-hole who tried suggesting things in Israel are perfectly safe and peaceful despite the Palestinians raining thousands of missiles down on them every year. Sure enjoy your peaceful sleep amid air raid sirens and Hamas missiles roaring overhead, explosions as they get hit by Iron Dome interceptions, shrapnel raining down on your rooftops and streets. Yeah, perfectly safe and peaceful indeed. |
And were it not for the Iron Dome, thousands of Israelis would be dying every year. But since those Hamas missiles are being intercepted before they can blow up in urban centers, that somehow means the Palestinians are totally peaceful and non-violent, amirite?

Does anyone in this thread want to offer a Mae culpa for denying the rapes that occurred that the U.N. confirmed? Both on 10/7 and in captivity? Anyone?
|
Yeah, I do. If they have been proven to have happened (beyond the UN statements I saw yesterday that were not quite definitive), I was wrong to have suggested the evidence would prove otherwise. Mea culpa. |
Never denied. Still. Need to eliminate all Zionists. Then there will be peace. |
It would significantly shift the risks. From innocent Palestinian children to IDF soldiers. And that is what Israel was steadfastly unwilling to do. |
You mean like Marines had to do in Fallujah? Western armies take those risks because the level of civilians casualties when you bomb refugee camps is unacceptable. I guess the IDF just isn't as modern or capable as they like to pretend |
+1 The Palestinians-as-innocent-martyrs narrative is a grotesque distortion of history. Plenty of blame to go around in this mess. |
And a call for genocide. Lovely. |
Anyone want to offer a mea culpa for accusing the UNWRA or whatever of being members of Hamas that the U.C. again refuted yesterday? Anyone? |
Or maybe they just don’t care. After all, in their minds they’re only killing human animals, not real people. They even acknowledged that they bomb for maximum damage, not accuracy. This is part of the process of erasing Palestinians so they can steal more of their land. This has been the Zionist MO from the start. |
