Yes, he is a student at St Cloud State. Grew up in some small hometown in Iowa. Nothing out of the ordinary. He is on the older side to still be a student but that is not particularly unusual either. |
He is a college senior at age 24 per the linked article above. He was traveling with a 20 year old it appears. |
Who is to judge someone of when and why they are finishing their degree when they do? He is in his 20s. No thanks to that link |
Typical DCUM, always looking to blame the man, to the point of trying to see if he was an "angry drunk". The beach and waves there were treacherous. It was 4am and dark. She was drunk. Perhaps she... drowned in such dangerous conditions? |

What if she tried to push him away like someone mentioned she did on the walk to beach from hotel in one of the videos? |
He earned a scholarship Southeast technical school for “land surveying” after HS graduation. Probably shifted gears at some point and decided to get a 4yr degree. Really not that unusual. There is a lot of detail from family, friends, neighbors etc in a daily mail article I read (too lazy to link it)- all comments very positive about him and the family. And in a midwestern small town like that (I grew up in a very similar town), where he apparently lived his whole life- everyone knows everyone and everything. It doesn’t mean he is innocent but there aren’t any red flags either. |
| Did they gather any new info after they re interviewed people who are probably now sober? |
Even if she did - it really doesn’t mean anything without context. |
| For her family who is in disbelief, what exactly do they think may have happened? |
| “Women killed by men are almost always killed by someone they know and more than half are killed by an intimate partner,” |
Night swimming in water like that on a dark night can go wrong fast—a wave knocks you down and it’s easy to become disoriented and not even know where the surface is and it’s easy to lose sight of the shore. |
Initially they were saying human trafficking. Pretty far fetched. |
