1. Bullis
Jumps back on top with a quality win over GZ
2. Landon
Bears get an easy win
3. St. John's
Grinding it out
4. Gonzaga
Still a favorite to be in the WCAC finals
5. Georgetown Prep
not convinced they would beat GZ 4 out of 7
6. St. Mary's Ryken
Head to head matters but not when you are 2-6
7. Dematha
Seems about right
8. Episcopal
Quietly accumulating wins
9. Good Counsel
hanging around #4 in WCAC
10. Paul VI
Needs more than 1 win

HM.
The Heights. Pushed out of the top 10 but could earn their way back
Robinson/Langley.

1. Bullis - most talented senior class in the area.
2. Landon - Bears are athletic and very complete across the field.
3. Gonzaga - despite the OT loss night, the Eagles proved they can scrap with anybody. While the offense lacks a true playmaker FOGO and Goalie play will carry them.
4. SJC - only putting up 8 goals against Ryken is a bit concerning. Hard to win the big games when you can't face-off well
5. Georgetown Prep - sloppy performance last night, Hoyas still can't clear the ball. Is this the W that turns the Lil Hoyas season around.
6. DeMatha - Stags are on a 5 game winning streak. Monster showdown with LaSalle out of Philly this weekend.
7. Ryken - despite having the head to head W over DeMatha, the Knights have dropped 2 straight. The Knights won't be tested until they play Episcopal Dallas in a few weeks.
8. Episcopal - good win on the road against St Christopher yesterday... intriguing matchup vs Bullis on Friday will tell us just how good the Maroon really are.
9. PVI - dominating win over the undefeated Heights yesterday. Panthers are on a 2 game winning streak. Big test vs Good Counsel on Friday.
10. Good Counsel - Falcons have some individual talent but need to find a way to win the BIG GAME. Can they knock off PVI on Friday?

Bullis rises because they get a quality win over Gonzaga, but Prep is lucky to have won?

Drop off to Tier II.

Steep drop off to Tier III.
6. Episcopal (best win: 9-7 over PVI)
7. PVI (best win: 13-3 over Heights)

That would have been called a "horse collar" rule in NFL! LOL.

Thanks for doing some intense research here.

The separation between Tier I and Tier II is very thin this year.

I know we are splitting hairs here but I do think DeMatha belongs in Tier III with EHS and PVI.

Generally agree, even though my squad not loved here.

I'd notch two teams up one.

Dematha should be in Tier III. They are senior laden, scrappy and have played Tier II teams tough.

OLGC should be in tier IV. Played IMG to two goals.

For those who haven't been following, Ryken got whooped on by bottom feeder programs MSJ and the Heights earlier this March (albeit MSJ did beat Prep by 5 goals a few weeks ago)

The WCAC is wide open this Spring, the clear favorite has to be Gonzaga.

It's still April 1, I guess. GZ is 4-5 and just lost to a 2-6 team by fumbling and bumbling for most of the game. If not for the goalie, that's a 5 goal game.

SJC just beat an okay SMR team by 5 goals and btw MSJ was 6-2 in the MIAA last year and are 6-2 overall this year. Also, the Heights lost but will sit at 12-2 when they meet. SJC has a giant hole at fo and that makes them vulnerable.

And a league can't be "wide open" with a "clear favorite."

MSJ was 2-8 in the MIAA last year.

As an MSJ grad that hurts. It is accurate but program seems to be heading in the right direction. Lost by 1 to Landon, beat Prep and even their MIAA losses have been pretty competitive (lossing by 3-4) than the past when they would get worked by 8 to 12 goals. They were a better verision of O'Connell.

Bullis and Landon are the two best teams in the DMV this year.

There is a reason why both teams are ranked by USA Lacrosse in the National Top 25 this week and no other DC area teams are.

I have no argument with this. The rest are all jockeying for the Thinnest Kid at Fat Camp ribbon.

Don't fat shame me. I won that ribbon fair and square.

Bullis rises because they beat a good team who can at least throw and catch. Landon gets penalized for playing 2 awful teams in a row. I didn't see any comment where GP was lucky. Good emotional game, but not sure it's the same result if they play again.
