Ha! Next Level will get boat raced

Stop by and say hi at the race on your way out. Join the funeral as the brand dies.

HG is big girl real lacrosse. Not the pay someone a bunch of money to train my daughter to be good DMV nonsense.

Hero's has no players on the rosters of the top three D1 teams that will vie for the national championship.

This is a good point. Can anyone name a Heros player that went on to dominate in D1 lax?

Are you really trying to suggest M&D DC is a better club than Hero's? I am peeing in my pants.

Absolutely not. I just could not think of any prominent players in D1 from Heros.

free for everyone b/c they charge 4k a year, way more than other clubs.

M&D DC tryouts are on July 13 and Capital tryouts are on July 14.

If you erase their Next Level history and pretend M&D DC has always been M&D Black, then yes M&D DC is a better club than Hero's.

For that squad, literally the only thing that matters is whether they like playing for the coach, each other and feel their prospects to keep getting better because of the above are good. Not new clubs coming to the area, or posts on DCUM, or anything else.

For a serious player the #1 priority would be to put herself in the best possible position to be recruited by a good college lacrosse program starting September 2027. Affection for the coach and other players is probably a "nice to have".
As I said that, I was considering the current landscape and what M&D DC has to offer vs anything local.

I didn't mention any crazy FOMO parents, as while they're ubiquitous in the lacrosse world, they are an unknown to me in this case. Even as they are seemingly everywhere.

Hero's boosters tend to come out if a DC area team starts playing well. They are tellingly self-conscious about being the best club between the Baltimore beltway and the DC one. Happened with the 2028s too.

Nice trolling response by the M&D DC backers on D1 play, but...we can probably safely conclude that Hero's remains a top 5 club and one of the few who compete year in year out for the top spot at every age group.

After this amusing sideshow, does anyone want to offer predictions for Saturday's early morning matchup?

Every girl on that team tried out for AS, they all will be at the Capital tryout.

You could be using your time to fix your 2027s and 2028s. It might be baked in already, but there's orange at each group, too. What's the plan? The real season is just a month and change away. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Why are you on DCUM trolling when you've been advised (and known yourself) that the solution is to get the ship righted again?

“Expecting different results.” That’s you! What a clown.

Again, you should be trying to fix it.

Capital has three players on these teams. One starts for BC, another has played in 12 games this year at Northwestern (as a sophomore).

In fairness, 24 players have played 12 or more games at NW, most more than that, and 7 played 8 games or more beyond that, including the backup goalie. the last 3 played 6-7 games, 2 were a walk on goalie and a starter out for the year injured after 6 games. If you want to see the field some, NW is the place.

There are no M&D or Hero’s players on Northwestern.
