Bam.

Why has Harris not working o this right now!!!

Somebody flunked their high school civics class. Go back and study what powers are enumerated in a Vice President versus President and then you’d know how stupid you really are when making this allegation.

Let me clean that up.

The problems we have had in the last 3.5 years fall directly on Biden/Harris. They have similar policies.

Even so, Biden has exited the stage and handed over most responsibilities to Harris. She is sitting in on calls with world leaders, leading relief efforts for Helene, and he is letting her do whatever she wants now with his support.

So if these problems are so urgent, why is not fixing them NOW vs waiting for January 2025?

Trump torpedo'd the immigration bill that should have passed in March. If immigration is so important, why didn't the GOP pass the bill?

100%

Trump and Vance have no credibility on this issue after Trump pressured his GOP lackies to block a comprehensive immigration reform bill that was even crafted by a conservative congressman. It would have poured so many trained staff and increased funding to police the border.

Vance is great at gaslighting which is a requirement for Republicans these days. Every response was based on a lie. Trump saved Obamacare. Vance never supported a national abortion ban. You can solve housing by selling deserted federal land to developers. The Haitians with legal status are really illegal. The solution to school shootings is better doors and windows. Every problem is caused by immigrants. No one knows who really won the 2020 election. And on and on. It was a “Read my lips, no facts” strategy.

Simple!!!!!

That bill still allowed up to 5000 illegals to cross daily. Was weak on border security and enforcement!

That bill was written up in 2024.

In 2023, HR2 was passed by the Republican House and was never taken up by the Democrat Cornell’s
Senate.

It was better in every way possible. Limits on asylum claims, made migrants wait at posts of entry, limited false asylum claims, more agents and border wall.

So. Senate bill was worse than HR2.

Democrats sank that bill in 2023!!!!!

Things I can’t believe Walz said: he’s a knucklehead, he has bad grammar, he’s friends with school shooters, and the whole panic ramble about Tiananmen square. He had wild eyes and a very uncomfortable vibe about him.

DP. So was Walz at Tiananmen Square? I'm confused by his answer.

He lied about it numerous times. Most recently he said in a CBS interview he was there.

But he was Not! He came to China a few months later.

This poses a problem with his issues with whole military service snafu as well.

No it doesn't. If you actually really cared, you can easily find out about the story of his miliary service and what happened. It is a disgusting smear campaign by the Trump campaign. Made even more disgusting by Trumps other egregious statements denigrating military service when he himself is a coward.

But I still don't find him likeable. He's like a well oiled lawyer.

He barely answered the question on whether Israel should fire a preemptive strike on Iran. Instead, he ran out the clock thanking the sponsors and telling his long personal bio. He ended by saying for a few seconds at the end that Israel should do what they think is right. He had zero clue how to answer, and no substance to his answer. He's just a shiny suit.

Yes he did. He said that is Israel's decision.

He did. He followed it up with the US should back any decision Israel makes. WTF. That I do not agree. We should not be forever paying for their decisions, good or bad.

No, he went to China about a month or two after the actual Tianamen Square massacre. But my memory (I'm about his age) is that the protest movement and the ensuing crackdown was larger than just that one day. So he may have been remembering the general vibe and not the specific day. Or he may have meant to say he was there "in the wake of" Tianemen Square and short-handed that. It was a dumb unforced error on his part, but I don't think it was a malicious lie.

Meanwhile, Trump and Vance spread malicious lies about 40 times a day, but that's okay. Let's focus on one time Tim Walz mis-spoke about his trips to China. Good Lord. The GOP is so desperate.

one time, 35 years ago...

No, it didn't Lankford set the record straight on this blatantly false GOP talking point. Face it, immigration is an issue, and Trump wanted to ensure it was front and center for this campaign, instead of actually addressing the problem. It tells me the GOP is more interested in gaslighting on an issue and maybe it isn't the crisis people on the right make it out to be. If it was such a crisis, then solve the problem. If playing politics is more important, then clearly it isn't a crisis.

Edge to Walz if only because I believe Vance is BPD (super strong chameleon trait) and tonight Vance looked normal because he was in close quarters with normal.

If you had to pretend you loved Donald Trump wouldn't you be angry, too?

No. But Walz has deep wrinkles of angry man, he is not angry because of today's debate, he has been angry for years.

Life gives people the face they deserve.

That must be why Trump looks like a melting orange demon.

Walz is angry like the rest of us that Vance has the audacity to stand there and just lie so blatantly. And that Vance won't admit Trump lost the election. That Vance is so clearly unfit to hold an office that is so important for our democracy. It's horrifying when you are decent person like Walz is. Go see what his former students say about him. He will be far better for the country than smarmy, lying Vance.

I like that there are psychotic, rabid Zionists who think one party or the other isn't grovelling enough and/or cringe-inducing enough in their devotion to sticking their collective heads up Israel's a$$ to the detriment of US standing in the world. Keep thinking this policy of despicably lying about Israel being a victim all the f***ing time, is the winning strategy for *America's* future.
