He wasn’t wrong. J Lo was formidable on the charts. She had more number 1 hits than Britney and Christina in the early 2000s . Yes I was surprised by this fact as well.

She also had more street cred than Mariah because she’s from the Brawnx.

She made a fool of herself during the NYE lip sync disaster and during Idol fighting with Nicki Minaj because she thought she would be the only female on the panel . J Lo performed during the NYE special the year after Mariah and sang live and didn’t break.

Mariah also sounds ridiculous proud of her “Who is that?” Diss to J Lo. She’s too old to be so immature but that’s the same woman who says she is permanently 12 years old and is stuck professionally as the Christmas singer

Nope. Mariah’s cattiness no doubt is a defense mechanism to the rejection she faced in life but she’s always had a mean streak. She didn’t like Celine Dion outsinging her or Aretha during an Aretha Franklin tribute for Vh1 divas live and repeated this ad nauseum through the years including lately in her recent memoir. What’s hilarious is Aretha loved it and even requested Celine sing at her funeral /memorial in 2018 and including Ariana Grande as well but no Mariah despite what she claimed was a close friendship with Aretha. Aretha clearly preferred Celine’s professionalism.
