I thought the orcas have had enough of human foolishness. Maybe the banging noises is orca humor. |
I see more parallels here to MH370... Disappeared without a trace.. needle in a haystack. People may search for weeks, months, years and may never find them. |
I disagree that this isn't a traumatizing story. Obviously levels of trauma vary significantly and many many people are able to read (and even laugh ) about it without feeling any personal impact. But this is really tough to know about for "deep feeling" people, and it absolutely has a negative collective impact on mental health.
I hope these people are found and rescued, and that with their billions they will pay back the costs of being rescued from what I agree was entirely a vanity project at now great financial and emotional cost to the public. It's horrifying and I hope they are able to be saved. I can't imagine what their families are going through. |
There is a meme of orcas banging on pots and pans saying the water is fine come on in! lol I wish I could find it again. |
I bet the CO2 scrubbers have already stopped working and they have already died from that. |
Because we can't send orcas to rescue them. Orcas can't fly. |
I'm a deep feeling person and this isn't doing it for me. Migrant ships with little kids on board capsizing? Totally triggering. A bunch of rich idiot dudes who thought this was a good idea? My deep feels aren't feeling. If I'm okay, society will manage. |
Dewpoint. |
ALL OF THIS but especially the bold. |
If you're traumatized, please turn off your phone and computer and talk to your spouse, pet your dog/cat, have some tea. There's no need to hurt yourself following this story. What will be will be, with or without you. |
I guess you feel the titanic victims themselves should have been billed for their rescue. |
Looking at his photo, I’d venture to guess he may be neuro divergent. I’d hesitate to go after him for not having the expected reaction. I vote for giving him the benefit of the doubt. |

I feel bad for the kid. I also think it's a shame to lose Nargeolet, who seems like an incredible person. Though he'd been down there dozens of times before and probably only had to look at that tin can to know he wouldn't be coming back. I imagine that he'd want to die in the Ocean.
The two rich dudes? I'm sad for their families. The CEO can rot. |
Traveling via a normal mode of transportation is not a vanity project, so no. |
