Political Discussion
That's an outdated view, go Google why Walmart stock went down recently. Hint: it's not just Walmart. |
Potholes? He literally passed the only major infrastructure bill in a generation. Trump signed a deal with the Taliban. I didn’t think it was a good either, but at least we are back to honoring our word as a nation. I’m not going to defend the withdrawal. It was shockingly terrible. But we’re out, and it’s ridiculous to politicize the dozen soldiers killed during the withdrawal when republicans have ignored the thousands killed and wounded over the last twenty years. His handling of the crisis in Ukraine has been good, and universally praised. TFG might have talked about isolationist policies, but we haven’t been governed in such a way in our lifetime. So pushing back on Russian aggression is in line with what every leader in our lifetime would do. Inflation is global. And republicans have done noting re: immigration. If they actually cared they’d partner in good faith to find a solution. They don’t. They’d rather use it as a wedge issue to scare out some votes. Maybe ask the republicans why we don’t have robust mandated everify? The answer is we need immigrants to do vital work, and too much money is made off of them. Our tax code hasn’t changed. Our foreign policy hasn’t changed. And if RWNJ’s would join us in reality we could start to get a handle on major security threats like weaponized misinformation and foreign propaganda. That would be a huge help at the border, as foreign misinformation from adversaries ( like Russia) is encouraging migrants to swarm it. |
| Biden got us out of Afghanistan, put Americans back to work, and is improving our nation's infrastructure for the first time in a generation. He's getting formula to our babies while republicans would let them starve. God bless Joe. |
What *specifically* did Biden do to make Walmart stock drop? Be specific. No handwavey "hint" nonsense. No handwavey "that's an outdated view" nonsense. Specific. |
he changed the tax code NOPE He established new regulations NOPE He signed executive orders targeting business NOPE He made vaccines widely available YEP He passed an Infrastructure bill so we don’t die on collapsing bridges YEP |
Yeah Biden’s surrender in Afghanistan was very well executed. Your obsequious comments are reliably farcical. |
Try to keep up, the PP claimed the inflation is caused by corporate profiteering. Earnings reports from major retailers show this is not the case. One less excuse for Biden to blame. |
Sure, helicoptering money had no impact. Aggressive steps against US oil production had no impact. "Maybe just the tip" comment regarding Russian invasion of Ukraine had no impact. This fool still thinks the solution to inflation is to pass even more social welfare spending. |
+1 Private companies didn't just discover profit maximization once Biden took office. |
Sending our boys to die for 20 years isn't a plan, you absolute fool. |
No, YOU keep up. Several posters have ALREADY repeatedly shown, in this thread, how profits for gas companies are way up, how profits for natural gas companies are way up. Are you blind, oblivious, or just plain stupid? |
^ Clueless MAGA babbling nothing but FOX News talking points and no real substance |
+1 It’s price gouging. It’s not “profit maximization;” it’s corporations seeing the conservative mass media dunking on Biden and taking an opportunity. They know the average person will hear Biden being blamed and will blame price hikes on Biden. If it weren’t price gouging, why wouldn’t the GOP support laws against price gouging? Because it is and their corporate paymasters will only keep paying if they fight consumer protections. |
| Forgiving 10k of loans will surely tame inflation. |
Have you ever been involved in running a mass evacuation from a crisis zone overseas, especially from a hostile environment? I have, and you don't know what the Hell you're talking about. |
