| Bonus if it’s a restaurant that has a tasting menu. We want a restaurant that is really delicious but we have to keep it to $200 or less per person. Where have you eaten where the food was phenomenal. Of course if it’s more expensive than $200 pp that’s okay too. I’ll add it to my list of must try places. |
| Just at at Albi for $200/pp (did the set table but ordered cocktails instead of the wine pairing) and I highly recommend it. Everything was amazing, and the service was impeccable. |
| The Lyle hotel restaurant is pretty great and SO underrated. |
|
I also enjoyed Albi. Seven Reasons is one of my favorites.
I have heard great things about Imperfecto, but have not yet been myself. |
| A&J in Annandale. |
| Supra. It's not one of those crazy fancy tiny portion giant plate tasting menu restaurants, just delicious cheesy-carby Caucasian comfort food with great wine in a relatively upscale setting. With a bottle of wine and more food than two people can eat you'll struggle to break $200. |
+1 One of our fav dining experiences recently. |
| The first time we went to the Inn at Little Washington we loved it. The second time we thought it was still good but not as great as the first time we went. |
Sorry - not sure the price point - IIRC between 200-300 pp |
|
Best at that price point:
Ambar in Capitol Hill (not the one in Clarendon) can be surprisingly good! They do small plates. Also, Agora on 17th (Turkish/Greek) and Osteria Morini in Navy Yard Lapis in Adams Morgan Disclaimer: haven't been to Maidan |
This is where DH and I went for a nice anniversary dinner on a trip to DC after not being in the area for a while and it was delicious. |
| Ilili at the Wharf, Moon Rabbit at the Wharf and Rooster and Owl are my recent favorites. |
| $200 per person? WTF? I have never been to a restaurant that expensive and probably would not do so. And I can easily afford it. |
| O-ku |
OK, good for you I guess. If you didn't know there are plenty of restaurants in the DC area at a $200+pp price point, you clearly haven't been paying attention. If you did know and you just wanted to virtue signal about your frugalness, get a life. |
