Ghislaine Maxwell’s trial opens today. What are your thoughts on her and her co-conspirators?

Would really enjoy for her to sing like a songbird, lots of powerful people need to be held accountable for their indiscretions with underage girls. I’m partial as a friend of mine fell into Ghislaine’s web of deceit, and escaped before becoming a victim. She lived for years in fear of being found by Epstein and his cronies.

I think her dad groomed her for this lifestyle. I'm also not sure if he left her any substantial sums of money. So, when he died, she essentially looked to a similar father figure to care for her.

Regardless, she's part of the same mafia as Epstein. I'd love to see what the FBI and CIA have on their activities, particularly relations with foreign governments. I doubt any of that will see the light of day.

All her charges I believe involve minors with crimes ranging from sex trafficking, criminal activity, and transporting to name a few. I would guess she will get some serious time.

PS - all six counts Maxwell is facing relate to trafficking of minors for sex purposes. There is nothing in the charges that related to adult victims.

So that narrative about "they had agency!" falls apart....

Yes all involves minors at this point. I read she can get up to 80 years!

There are 4 victims that will be a part of this trial. Powerful people will not be a part of it fyi. While there may be more victims these were deemed credible by prosecutors. Virginia Roberts isn't one of victims in the trial likely because she signed a NDA with Epstein. That means she swore and signed her name saying she holds him blameless for any crimes. She also accused Alan Dershowitz who counter-sued her, then they both settled. I don't believe there are going to be any co-conspirators, instead cooperating witnesses for the state.
