Because I think a lot of clues point to this being a foreign intelligence honey trap/blackmail operation, and I don't want them to win. It limits the damage to us, as a country, if we don't have a ton of politicians and high level people taken out by this. Look at Prince Andrew and the damage to the BRF. I'm not at all defending any aspect of their behavior. I'm saying I don't want other countries to get an advantage over us because of these morons. It won't change what happened to these young girls.

So we lose a few politicians, and they get replaced. Big deal. We should have term limits anyway. No one gets to be in power forever.

You seem to have missed what caused the damage to the BRF. It wasn’t the rape itself so much as it’s the abuse of power, both in Andrew raping a trafficked girl (among all his other shady ash crimes) and his mother and the machine of the RF covering for him. I would argue that the same thing is damaging the US right now. There are a whole bunch - 10? 50? 1000? - of pedophile rapists in our government (maybe?) and businesses (possibly?) and just being wealthy (for sure) and they are driving policy and buying Supreme Court seats.

You’re one of the voices advocating for their protection. At the expense of the girls to whom this is happening currently and at the expense of justice to those to whom it has happened.
