With black tights and booties or knee high boots? The gold thread has a shimmer to it.
The wedding is at a winery and the ceremony is outdoor and the reception is both indoor and outdoor. It’s going to be cold so I will also be wearing a coat for parts of it. WDYT? I have several LBD’s I could wear but looking to branch out a little and hopefully stay warmer. TIA. https://www.loft.com/shimmer-plaid-tiered-pocket-dress/573588 |
Admirable that you want to branch out but that dress is VERY casual - between the plaid and the cut it doesn't look like anything one should wear to a wedding. A shimmery thread does not save it. Sorry OP. |
| Yes I think so. |
| I wouldn’t wear that dress to a wedding. (And I think it’s pretty) |

Yeah I think most anything is wedding appropriate and I don't think I'd wear that. It looks like a nightgown! If the cut was more formal or the pattern more solid, maybe yes.
But I'd look at getting a jumpsuit if you are worried about being cold. |
| Definitely not appropriate for a wedding. |
| It looks like pajamas or something you'd wear to sit on Santa's lap. |
| OP here. Thanks, I won’t wear it. Can I wear black dress pants and a shimmery top with heels? I’m not trying to look like NYE either, just figuring out how to be warm! Any other ideas? It’s this weekend so not much time. Ugh, stupid Covid otherwise it would be just be all indoors. |

| What about this one with black tights and booties? https://www.loft.com/floral-slit-midi-dress/578072?=undefined&selectedColor=2222 |
| Another vote for nightgown. It also does not look like it would be flattering on any body type. |
What time is the wedding/reception? |
4:30pm, reception right after. |
