Chris loves Julia’s kitchen

Anyone here following them? I’m so excited to see their new kitchen. I am in the process of remodeling my kitchen so I’ve been looking for classic inspiration. Feel free to share any other bloggers or designers I should be checking out. Of course, I don’t have the 200k+budget but that’s never stopped me from still duplicating something rather nice.

OP if you want responses you have to give a little more context. I have no idea who these people are. How about a link so I can join the discussion?

Sorry. They are bloggers. I just assumed there would be no need for a link as they have been talked about before on here. I’m not sure I know how to post a link either way!

I really think they made big mistakes with their layout changes, their kitchen is very narrow and cave like now and that tiny dining area is a joke. The stoffer cabinets are very pretty, but three cabinet finishes and two different types of countertop is just too much going on. So I am interested in seeing the final product but not for the reasons op seems to be. Did

Op here. I am excited to see the taupe cabinets with the soapstone counters and that dark green island with the marble. I believe the blue will be hidden, otherwise I would agree that it would be too busy. I don’t care for them removing the dining area in their colonial to expand their kitchen but I’m excited to see it all come together. My kitchen is small but I’m definitely excited to see how it all comes together.

I actually wasn’t counting the blue cabinets — in the main part of the kitchen, they have taupe, dark green and natural wood.

Where is the natural wood? I think I may have missed that.

Also I really like Jean’s work. I can’t imagine that she would have her name on something that will look bad in the end.

They have a “look” or formula that they seem to follow in their design. It’s moody and sometimes the totally unexpected. I thought their recent powder room remodel would be atrocious, but besides the boob light sconces, which I hope they will one day swap, I think it’s really beautiful.

I’m on here a disturbingly large amount of time, and no, they are not a frequent topic of discussion.
