What about the 2.5M people that are not Hamas? Aid for them?

Nope. Those people elected Hamas. No one here would be so worried about Maga’s plight if Trump went crazy. We’d all say they deserved it for voting maga. So why do I care about other radicals who elected crazy people and now are suffering. They are raping and torturing people they kidnapped.

Even the 1.2M +/- who were not even alive or of voting age when Hamas was last on a ballot in Gaza?

And there you have it. 50% of current Palestinians wernt even alive or of voting age in 2005 but they can all die. That’s the real israeli perspective. Craven and despicable.

It’s like blaming America in 2024 for electing Ronald Regan

'Most reasonable ' - If they disagree with you they are unreasonable?

DP I think most reasonable people, regardless of whether they are Jewish, don't support starvation. I also think a person is unreasonable if they support starvation.

Do you disagree with that?

“Most reasonable Jewish people in the US are aghast at what Israel is doing right now.”

Not exactly. The Jewish people I know in the US are aghast at the situation, but place the blame squarely on Hamas for attacking Israel in October 7.

I am as moderate and normie as they come - I primarily blame Hamas. I don't think Israel is faultless. I think it would have been smarter and more humane to do more to protect civilians, and to get food and medicine to Palestinians. Not that the world still wouldn't have come out against Israel - I think a lot of pent up hostility and anti-semitism found its opportunity here. But it would have been better. I don't know how you would have done that, but there must have been a way.

I mostly align with this philosophy as well. The dead giveaway was the world blaming Israel on 10/7, weeks before they even launched a counteroffensive. The other dead giveaway is the one or two rabid posters here who keep denying what happened on 10/7.

Yes. You are totally fine with starving a mostly civilian pooulation to death.

Got it

Hamas thinks the starvation of civilian Gazans is just dandy and in fact helps their cause. Place the responsibility where it is due.

Israel is the one preventing aid from entering, which it is doing deliberately. It owns it 100%

Hamas steals aid. They are selling foreign food aid to Gazans now. Because they WANT Gazans to die. Because Hamas is a terrorist death cult, not a government.

And that's why it is so beyond the pale that the Government of Israel is deliberately starving the entire population by preventing aid from entering Gaza.

😬😬😬

You honestly don't even hear yourself do you?

I do and I find it very ironic that you would say that. Israel is the one preventing aid from entering. The US donated enough flour to feed Gaza for five months. Bibi agreed to let it in way back in 2023. Smotrich administratively held it up at the port in Ashdod for two months. The starvation in Gaza is due to deliberate decisions made by the Government of Israel.

What did you just say? The US actually offered aid and tried to deliver it but Israel stopped it but yet somehow this is still biden's fault??? Wtf

I feel sorry for Biden because he's really trying. But yes the US donated enough flour to feed 1.5 million people for five months and Israel, through Smotrich, has prevented it from entering Gaza for months.

It IS Israel’s problem. It is not our problem. BUT Israel is our ally and they were attacked. So we should stand with Israel. No aid to Gaza. No talk of ceasefire by US. Not our lane.

Option 1: You're a Zionist. Who cares what you think?

Option 2: You're a religious zealot who supports Israel for biblical fairytale mumbo jumbo reasons. Who cares what you think?

Option 3: You're a 'murica! racist who hates the "A-rabs" and the "moos-lum" alike. Who cares what you think?

Well maybe they should have not attacked Israelis. Terrorist move.

Israel is the terrorist state. Everything the country has done is part of a terror campaign and Holocaust of the Palestinians. Israel is not a big country and the region has never produced a viable state. Live by the sword die by the sword. One day Israel will be on the other side of things.

The first DCUM forum I was on over ten years ago was the Infertility support forum. The story of this woman, who had twin babies after three rounds of IVF and 10 years of trying to start a family, particularly touched me.

Both her babies, who were 4 months old, her husband, sister, nephew, and other relatives were killed in a bombing in Rafah on Saturday.

Once again, I ask all the well meaning supporters of Israel. Is there any line that should not be crossed? Are you ok with intentionally starving people, like pp is?

Even the 1.2M +/- who were not even alive or of voting age when Hamas was last on a ballot in Gaza?

Polling reveals that most support Hamas’s “from the river to the sea” ideology and violence in pursuit of those goals.

If that is what needs to happen to make Gaza stop raping and torturing and yes killing the hostages, yes. As you say, live by the sword, die by the sword.

Amos Hochstein, special envoy from President Biden, is in Lebanon to help find a "diplomatic solution" to the Israeli - Hezbollah conflict.

Completely serious question: As Americans, are we just completely oblivious to how outrageously comical it seems that the only people we send to the Middle East to broker peace happen to be Jewish? This guy is an Israeli-American businessman, diplomat, and former lobbyist, per his profile. Really?

Every person we put on ME diplomatic duty seems to be Jewish. Are we for real? I mean, seriously? Are we for real? Do we think it doesn't seem offensive and outrageous to the people we're trying to coax into a deal?

How would everyone feel if we sent Rashida Tlaib over to the ME with full U.S. authority to force a long-term settlement between Israel and the Palestinians? But the Palestinians and Lebanese are supposed to be A-OK that the U.S. is being represented by an Israeli with full U.S. authority to broker peace?

This is like a fever dream. What is going on???
