Not exactly. The Jewish people I know in the US are aghast at the situation, but place the blame squarely on Hamas for attacking Israel in October 7.

I am as moderate and normie as they come - I primarily blame Hamas. I don't think Israel is faultless. I think it would have been smarter and more humane to do more to protect civilians, and to get food and medicine to Palestinians. Not that the world still wouldn't have come out against Israel - I think a lot of pent up hostility and anti-semitism found its opportunity here. But it would have been better. I don't know how you would have done that, but there must have been a way.

I mostly align with this philosophy as well. The dead giveaway was the world blaming Israel on 10/7, weeks before they even launched a counteroffensive. The other dead giveaway is the one or two rabid posters here who keep denying what happened on 10/7.

Hamas thinks the starvation of civilian Gazans is just dandy and in fact helps their cause. Place the responsibility where it is due.

Israel is the one preventing aid from entering, which it is doing deliberately. It owns it 100%

Hamas steals aid. They are selling foreign food aid to Gazans now. Because they WANT Gazans to die. Because Hamas is a terrorist death cult, not a government.

And that's why it is so beyond the pale that the Government of Israel is deliberately starving the entire population by preventing aid from entering Gaza.

I do and I find it very ironic that you would say that. Israel is the one preventing aid from entering. The US donated enough flour to feed Gaza for five months. Bibi agreed to let it in way back in 2023. Smotrich administratively held it up at the port in Ashdod for two months. The starvation in Gaza is due to deliberate decisions made by the Government of Israel.

For me, the litmus test is really easy right now:

3. Do you stand behind Hamas or other terrorist groups? If yes, you are an enemy.

4. Do you stand behind the leadership of the State of Israel and the core aims of Zionism? If yes, you are an enemy.

Hamas and other terrorist groups are blights on humanity, to be sure. But the sheer magnitude of negativity brought into the world by Israel and its supporters right now is just flabbergasting. How any America can support Israel knowing that such a tiny country is at the root of SO MUCH of the world's problems is just sad and pathetic, actually.

Yes. This. If Israel wanted to take the moral high ground, they would be welcoming Palestinian civilians into Israel to escape Hamas. Israel cannot tell Hamas from Palestinian civilians so they are trying to kill them all. That might seem like the easier solution, but all it is doing is creating more support for Hamas within Gaza and the West Bank. Long term, that is not safe for Israel.

American sending aid and bombs is evidence that we don’t have a clear moral picture. It is why Bidennis perceived as weak. We cannot care for the residents of Gaza more than the leaders of Gaza. That won’t work. We need to be honest that Hamas has to go because they are terrorist to their own people, their neighbors and the world.
