(Most) conservative preschools in NW/Bethesda/CC?

Any thoughts? I don’t think politics should be relevant for preschool, but unfortunately, in this current climate and in this area, it is.

Thanks!

Wut?

So you're looking for a preschool where they'll teach free market economics and libertarian principles?
Anonymous
Yea. What? Go away. We don't like conservatives in Bethesda/CC.

No, it isn’t. Unless you make it so. It’s pre-school.

Are you afraid some wacky progressive teacher will tell your kid to be nice to other kids whose skin doesn't look like hers?

You’d be surprised. Six years ago when my kids were in preschool in NWDC there were several inappropriate references in the curriculum to left leaning political agenda issues. Yes I complained and it was somewhat toned down. I can only imagine that it’s worse now.

Church based preschools are a good place to start but that one of pretty obvious

Yeah, I mean they said grace at my kid’s church based preschool (even though they advertised the preschool as independent/nonreligious) if that would make you happy.

You sound like one of those people who believes CRT is being taught in ES though

Thanks all- any specific school names could be helpful (agreed re church ones- but churches can vary a lot too).

I’m sorry that people in this area don’t like moderate conservatives but I don’t like the idea of my very young child being taught that he is evil because he is white and that he should maybe consider being a she (at age 2). I think these are certainly topics to be addressed at a certain age but not in preschool.

I would imagine (and hope) that there are other parents in the area that would prefer the same.

Again, any specific school names would be appreciated.

I'm sorry that the presence of my two-mom family scares you so much, OP. It must be hard for your child to hear the teacher refer to "parents" instead of "moms and dads."

Thoughts and prayers.

Huh? I can’t imagine there’s a single preschool teaching that. If they are they are a bad preschool full stop.

I suggest you go to the school open houses and ask the questions you want to ask. That way, you can give the Head of School a heads up about your priorities and they can decide whether or not they want to admit your child and deal with your family.

Go away. Seriously. Move to Alabama or wherever else you can find more bigoted people to live around.
