Do you believe in love at first sight?

What do you think happens when people experience or think that they're experiencing it?

A little bit. I think it involves chemistry, a level of physical attractiveness, the ripeness for the situation.

One person has ever fallen in love with me at first sight, although it was more of Lust at First Sight at that stage. But I think it can grow into love for real.

I've personally not falling in love at first sight, although I've had the reverse feeling "OMG I hope he doesn't like me"

I've felt that way once. It wasn't exactly love, but the moment I saw him, it was like all the air in the room disappeared. Sort of like in Twilight when Bella walks in the room for the first time and Edward suddenly looks like he's straining to take a huge poop. Only hopefully I didn't look like that

We briefly dated, I was crazy about him, but he wasn't that into me. I fantasized for a loooooong time about what our life would have been like together. Luckily I've moved on and am very happy, not sure what he's up to.

Love at first listen - I heard my DH the other end of a long table being hilarious, I couldn't quite see him at this stage but thought he was both funny and obviously a genius. Sought him out to speak to and found him attractive too. Obviously.

I have never experienced it, but two different men did with me. One of them became a deep relationship that did not work out but that changed me and the other became my husband.

I’ve had it two or three times. Lightning bolt feeling. Feel like you’ve known them forever. I’m very sensitive to people’s energy so I think it’s just that sudden collision, you hook into another person’s system in a way you can’t ignore.

What happens afterwards is probably up to what you make of it.

I've experienced intense infatuation at first sight, and at the time thought it was love. It's not. It's very exciting though!

It exists for young people. Old people are too ugly for love at first sight. Or at least for it to be mutual.

I think yes. The very first time I saw my husband I knew he was it. I was not sexually attracted to him for months later. We wouldn't have a conversation for months after that, and we didn't date until years later, but I just knew. Obviously, I love him far more deeply now. It's hard to explain, but it's like everything in my mind-body, and soul told me yes, thats' him.

Go back to playing with your wanker and let the adults talk.

How old is old? The closest thing to love at first sight happened to me at age 42 and he was 44. Were we old? If you're lucky, you'll be old someday. If the rest of are lucky, maybe you won't.

Not really unless I already know a bit about the person and like those aspects, then finally see them…
