Charlie Kirk shot at Utah Valley University

Anonymous
The sad thing about Charlie Kirk is he was always bragging that he was a staunch and faithful Christian man, that he lived to serve his God, Jesus Christ and he would constantly quote Scripture by Book, verse, etc.

Yet in the same breath he would also say he was against his tax dollars going to fund public school free lunch programs?
He was always preaching about The Ten Commandments yet he was clearly against helping other people - especially poor, hungry children from impoverished families.
These same children that he claimed deserved to be born - not aborted (murdered in his words) - yet he was against any government funding to help these vulnerable children.

He was such an advocate for adoption vs. abortion, yet was against funding Medicaid.
Didn’t he know that Foster children rely primarily on Medicaid for their dental & healthcare needs?
Some even need it to pay for the counseling/therapy that they need after going through trauma with their families.
Yet Charlie Kirk advocated for taking away their only medical funding??

Hypocrite.
How can any of you defend this person?

I am sorry that he was murdered and he definitely did not deserve it.
But I still disagree with his perspective on religion among other things.

And besides, public school lunches (all of their food in general!) is and always has been pretty subpar overall.
So to want to deny innocent kids these meals which aren’t even that good to begin with is just mean……

How is that not a racist belief??
By pigeonholing Black people into negative stereotypical situations at best he was promoting racist propaganda.

He also claimed that he wasn’t transphobic, yet he said that trans people were confused and living in mental delusion.
He touted their behavior as a simple mental illness.

And he doesn’t believe that citizenship should be given to someone just because they were born here.
Yet in the same breath he also was very vocal against illegal immigration.
He believed that to be legal that you had to be “invited” to the U.S.
Whaaat?

Shortly after his tragic and untimely death anyone who said anything even remotely negative about Charlie Kirk was vilified.
Many even lost their jobs.

Yet now, weeks later I think people have had enough time to figure out what a homo/transphobic, racist this man was and how he never stood for America, Jesus, etc……he was not an accurate depiction of who us Westerners fundamentally ARE.

Dave Chapelle likely will not get cancelled over what he said about Charlie but had he said it a few wks ago he may have, who really knows??

Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruits.”

You might disagree with some of the beliefs Charlie Kirk had but he built a movement based on peace, love, and forgiveness.

When he was murdered, did his followers riot, destroy property, and attack others?

No. They prayed and held candlelight vigils. They mourned and lifted up one another.

I would much rather be a part of what TPUSA is offering as opposed to movements of the left.

He’s built a small fortune from the gullible by farming TikTok with his act. *swipe up* like the media and everybody else

I consider any movement that has encouraged millions to seek Christ to be a noble one.

You're kidding, right? The words of Christ have been bastardized by MAGA beyond belief. There's nothing Christ taught in any of their hearts.

So say you.

Meanwhile attendance at church has risen substantially since Kirk’s murder.

Get back to me when you MAGA creeps actually start following the teachings of Christ.

+1 also next time provide a source for your statement, your imagination isn’t data.

So they knew in August that he would be murdered in September?

Hahaha!! 😂
This is an excellent point.

I almost did not catch this - even the person posting it didn’t figure it out!

So church attendance is up through August ‘25……but didn’t Charlie Kirk die September ‘25????

+1 Or any Bible teachings at all. “Thou shalt not bear false witness”. Charlie Kirk lied about George Floyd.

This is such a hypocritical example of how Kirk contradicted his so-called Christianity all the time.

He was always publicly quoting the Ten Commandments yet at the same time he was falsely telling anyone who would listen that the true cause of Floyd’s death came from overdosing on drugs.
His death was captured on video >>> it is clearly obvious he was murdered by a cop!

Kirk’s murder was also captured on video as well.
It is obvious that he was shot but when if someone was going around saying that Kirk died from OD’ing on drugs too??

Exactly this. The core of Christ's teachings in the New Testament are in the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John, which are their first hand testimonials of what Christ said and taught. In those four Gospels, Christ clearly taught compassion, he taught and commanded us to feed and clothe the poor and the hungry, to tend to the sick and injured, to give shelter to refugees, to look after the elderly and the marginalized. Those teachings should take precedence. But conservative Christians ignore all of that, in fact reject it and demonize it as radical leftist socialism. Instead their big Bible-waving crusades are about trans people and gay marriage and abortion and birth control - things on which Christ was silent. Instead of listening to Christ, they distort the Bible and place the words of others above those of Christ. This is clearly a false, distorted and perverted form of Christianity. There is no "says you" to this. The Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke and John are what Christ taught and commanded and to reject them is to reject Christ.

If you had bothered to read the article which seems a bit of a challenge for you folks..... you would have noted that the move toward church started occurring while he was still alive and has only grown stronger since his death.
Note this:

Bible sales through August 2025 reached 10 million copies, marking an increase of more than one million compared to the same period last year, according to BookScan.

Kirk himself shared a message on X just weeks before his death: "There is revival in the Christian church. Churches are growing. Young people are flocking to faith in God."

Wolfe said Kirk’s legacy will go beyond bringing young people into conservative politics; it will be bringing them back to Jesus Christ.

"I think Charlie Kirk made it cool to be Christian again," said Wolfe.

He added, "That’s not our goal, but Charlie Kirk made it reasonable. He defended the faith."

Trends based on TikTok content creators are fickle. They'll be onto something else soon.

You still need to prove that the increased sales were due to Charlie Kirk specifically, and not general trends of social uncertainty and publishers marketing modernized versions of the Bible to a younger audience.
