Collins will be voted out. Do you think the yahoos in Kentucky will vote McConnell out? They must be dumber than sh*t for voting for him in the first place. He's taking away their health care, keeping their wages low, wants to keep the poor from getting food stamps -- and these people are his constituents!!

That said, it was a BRILLIANT move of McConnell to use Collins for cover. Brilliant. He did not get where he is for nothing.

I am not sure Collins will be voted out. Maine is an independent, frugal place. I wonder if Collins’ eventual opponent will be perceived as beholden to outside money, and that the money is being wasted. The caretaker at my parents’ Summer house thinks Collins is fabulous. Her wife, a cheese maker, thinks the same. She is the only republican they say they vote for.

But there is no law requiring that he recuse himself from any case before the Supreme Court. Recusal is voluntary.

Do you think Brett will recuse himself when the ACLU brings a case before the Supreme Court? He'll be licking his chops at his chance to get back at those "liberals" who funded the conspiracy against him.

That fact that a person can write this about someone who is being consider for the Supreme Court is exactly why he cannot be given the appointment. I don't get why people don't seem to understand how vital this is to the legitimacy of the Supreme Court.
