they didn’t- someone used AI and altered EVERYONE. original pic is up. and the guests were on the roster- and ref checked it at check-in. My DD was one who could only play today and was rostered on last day allowed by tournament weeks ago.

I've never seen refs check rosters at a tournament before.

So your dd is on the second team, and this was the third team?

From bringing in gobs of ringers and benching the kids on the actual team, then editing the ringers out of the photo (almost certainly because they weren't on the tournament roster, no other reason to do that), then changing the photo on SM, then lying about the whole situation). Wow.

Yeah but then why would they change the photo on SM to the real players if they were lying or had guest players in the photo that weren't there? there are no ringers at gfr at u10 lolllllll

yes but the 3rd team only has 4 players on it's own, it's been using 2nd team players all season to be able to field a team!

one of the ringers posted the original team photo with medals on their instagram and it is different then the one the official gfr page posted. Both pics have 12 girls in the photo but 3 of the faces were changed to different players from what I could tell before gfr took it down. This is awesome and just what GFR needed lol...I wonder if PA has any idea because it seems like the inmates are running the asylum

+1 yea PA better get control of her club

can you not do that with guest players? I think as long as they aern't playing with another team in the same tournament it's allowed.

You absolutely can. Clubs even can ask the tournament for guest players who might be looking for a team that weekend if they need them.

yes-as most guests were. and it was surprising they checked but this TM runs a tight ship and always has rosters and cards.

Some parent is spreading “cheating”
when wasn’t the case at all.

Perhaps the OP is not a reliable narrator. Is this the same age group where a TM tried to strong arm the team to another club?

The current coach only came on this spring after the former coach left. They needed B team players to fill out the roster bc there was less than a full team left. Nothing problematic about that. Leaving the girls that remained in the lurch would have been much worse.

It depends on the tournament rules. Its really bad form and tacky to bring in "ringers", especially for the 5th bracket out of 5 brackets or whatever of a low level tournament.

So this U-little Frankenteam was composed of 4 girls on the actual team (who spent the tournament on the bench), a few girls from the 2nd team playing down and 5 ringer girls from outside the club?

If there were only 4 girls on a team, they should have just pulled them up to the 2nd team and pulled up 2nd team girls to the 1st team. A team with just 4 players on it doesn't make sense.

I think its even worse story if there were only four girls on the actual team....and they still barely played? They should be playing most of the game. Its their team.

OK, since you were there, please explain who exactly is on the team. There are 12 girls in the photo. Only 4 are on the actual, 3rd team? How many are on the 2nd team? How many came from outside GFR?

+1 what I really want to know is who thought it would be a good idea to post the trophy pic and edit the ringers faces lol

OMG this! I'm dying to know the answer to this, its soooo funny lol
