My favorite quotes from Republican analysts:

"the vanity and laziness that led him to think he could wing the most important 95 minutes of his life"
--John Podhoretz

"I felt like I was watching the political Titanic hit the iceberg, back up, and hit it again. Just for fun."
--David French

"I have never seen a more unprepared candidate in a major moment. #Malpractice"

If this debate doesn't bump her significantly in the polls she is in deep der'mo rendering Guccifer moot.

Refreshing!

Not for a president of the united states, but for the local bartender, sure.

Can a Trump supporter clarify something for me?

Trump said it was smart to not pay taxes - if it is true that he has gamed his money to avoid taxes, then sure, he is smart, but he is also a freeloader.

So given that, why is he upset that the other NATO countries are "not paying their fair share"?

I mean, if he isn't paying his fair share to support the US, then why should NATO?

Discuss.

I'm sure he pays plenty of other taxes. It proves what is wrong with our income tax system. Far too many loopholes. As far as freeloading, he has created lots of jobs and probably has helped our economy far more in this way. He pays payroll taxes, etc, and his employees contribute. Do I like it? No. Would you do differently? Do you not take advantage of every tax break you can get? We do--but, of course, we pay what I consider a lot in taxes.

And, he is right. The money is squandered by people like Hillary.

This. He was following the tax system in place. Should he have offered to pay taxes he didn't owe?

Trump is proven right again. Lester Holt after all is a democrat. He outshines Candy Crowley.

He's actually a registered Republican.

Colin Powell claims to be a republican too but voted for Obama twice. So you really think a republican would ask zero question about Hillary's emails, lies, pay-to-play corruption, Benghazi and foreign policy disaster? A republican would devote the entire second half on gotcha questions of birther, looks, tax returns etc exclusively on Trump? A republican would go Candy Crowley on Trump twice?

Holt is not a republican.

I don't know if you've been paying attention, but there are people who vote across party lines, especially in this year's election -- many repubs are voting for HRC.

If he's not ashamed of his income taxes, why not release the returns?

“I have recently read some comments attributed to me from nearly 30 years ago at a time of very high tension,” the 66-year-old Czech-American told CNN in response to an article that said Ivana once accused Donald of raping her.

“The story is totally without merit,” she said in a statement on Tuesday.

“Donald and I are the best of friends and together have raised three children that we love and are very proud of. I have nothing but fondness for Donald and wish him the best of luck on his campaign. Incidentally, I think he would make an incredible president.”

This is a classic non-denial denial. She read some "comments attributed to" her. Which comments? The Daily Beast article contained her original rape allegation and a second statement in which she softened her original statement. So, when she says the "story is totally without merit" what exactly does she mean? Does she mean the story is false? Does she mean that the comments attributed to her were false? If so, the initial allegation or the subsequent softened version? Or, to get technical, "merit" doesn't have much to do with being true or false. I am sure that the lawyer who drafted Ivana's statement is aware that "merit" is roughly a synonym of "to be worthy" not of " to be false". So, was Ivana simply saying the story was not worthy without saying anything about the veracity of her comments?

Are there rape charges filed against Trump? There are against Clinton.

Hillary Clinton has criminal tape charges filed against her?

Because he has a multi-billion dollar company and his lawyers have advised him not to until the audit is over. Yes, I know the IRS says it is okay but his lawyers are against it.

So why is Hillary not releasing her emails again and why are so many of her staff members pleading the fifth? Even though she has nothing to be ashamed of it was a simple mistake on her part? Ah thats right. Lawyers.

How do you know he was following the tax system in place? Did he send his tax returns to you? So a billionaire paying no taxes is smart BUT the middle class paying their fair share of taxes is stupid? You are really middle class and really stupid.

EVERY presidential candidate has released their taxes for 40 years. Has any presidential candidate released their emails? Did George W do it? Did McCain?Did Romney? Did Obama?

The problem is the system. And, FWIW, I do not know--but with this administration the way it is, I am pretty sure that if he were doing anything illegal with them that he would be charged with that. Look what the IRS did to the Tea Party. And, today, I read the DOJ is going after Theil's company for racial discrimination.

And, how can you complain about this with all the things that Hillary has done without prosecution. Now that we know that she was emailing with Obama under a pseudonym, you can be sure that she was NEVER going to be prosecuted because he would be complicit. Giving immunity to her staff is NOT usual.

An anonymous woman has twice filed civil suits against Trump accusing him of raping her when she was 13 years old. The first lawsuit was filed in California, but dismissed due to technical filing errors. The case was refiled in New York, but just over a week ago, the woman voluntarily withdrew her lawsuit. Her lawyer said that an additional witness has been identified and a new lawsuit will be filed.

How are you sure he pays plenty of other taxes? That is such a weak-sauce response.

The guy gets hundreds of millions in tax subsidies, he has declared bankruptcy between 4 and 6 times and has stiffed hundreds of not thousands of small businesses over the years. Is that a role model?
